I am trying to find a reliable handyman to complete a very small job for us. I have tried contacting some of those on the Business Review tab, but most of their numbers are discontinued! Please help with any references. Thanks so much.

Hi B.,

My best friends husband is a great handy man. He just put in a wood floor for me and it looks awesome!! He is actually a painter by trade and a wonderful on at that! Why don't you send me an email with your number I can forward it on to him also along with what hours it is best to reach you. ____@____.com is very dependable, reliable and is a good worker (he is all about getting the job done not taking coffee breaks every 15 minutes) please let me know ASAP and I will have him contact you. Hope this helps you.

Hi B.- we had our bathrooms remodeled by Pat. His website is www.pricedrighthandyman.com He did a great job & cost us less than anybody else that we looked at hiring. (our bathroom is even on his website- in the before/after pics he has posted). He is a really nice guy & did exactly what he was supposed to. Good luck!

My husband does side jobs. If you are interested in that then please let me know what you need done and I'll see if he wants to take it on. I think he told me once that he charges $25.

My husband is a licensed contractor and has 12-13 years experience in this type of field. He's extremely handy around the house! What type of work do you need done?

DON'T HIRE A MAN NAMED GARY GOLDNER! I agree with the other responses here. Make sure you get references, licenses, etc. and every bid and discussion down in writing. I unknowingly hired a very BAD handyman. He told me he was a licensed contractor - he wasn't. He gave me a verbal bid, then later billed me separately for hourly wages and materials. He did substandard work and left the north side of my house exposed to the elements all winter. He also left the windows with gaping holes in the wood and the fence half finished. He left rotten fence panels, fence posts with concrete and other debris in my yard all winter. When I refused to pay him, he took me to small claims court where the judge didn't even look at my photographs and just divided the disputed amount in half. I REPEAT-DO NOT HIRE A MAN NAMED GARY GOLDNER. He lives in Randall, MN near Little Falls and takes jobs in the Twin Cities.
