Seeking Fun Activity for a Day Out with My 4 Yr Old Daughter

I am planning a mommy and me day with my 4 yr old daughter for some one on one time. I can't decide what to do. I was thinking about putt-putt, bowling, rock climbing, or any other activites that someone might think would be fun. I live in Dallas, near 635 and 35. Any help with ideas or facilities would be greatly appreciated. We go to the zoo, aquarium and arboretum regularly, so they wouldn't really be considered special.

What can I do next?

My 2yo daughter and I just went the Science Place and she really had a great time! The downstairs area caters to children up to 7 years old. We were there for two hours which I think was pretty good for a 2yo.

What about a pottery class like Color Me Mine(Frisco) or something similar?

What about taking the train to downtown Dallas (maybe park & ride from Irving) and have lunch in the Antares restaurant inside reunion tower (their lunch specials are reasonable and they have a kids menu). If your daughter likes art, you can take her to one of those pottery painting places (Arts Affire is in Irving at 114 and MacArthur). Or there's a mosaic making place at Preston & Royal (Smashing Times - if it's still there). Maybe you could take her to get her hair and nails done at a salon.

See the responses I got from my post in June. It is under "other leisure and entertainment." I think it is entitled "downtown Dallas and toddler activity." I got lots of ideas that were free or inexpensive.
The following will make more sense after reading the post:
It might be fun to try the ice skating downtown and a ride on the elevators. There is a food court there with lots of choices. There is also a fruit smoothie store by the food court where my daughter enjoyed her first smoothie. The buildings there connect by a sky-bridge that my daughter loved walking across.

Hi!
I also have a 4yr old daughter, and I'm always looking for some "Mommy & Me" ideas for the two of us! :)

So here goes...
1) "Mini Spa Day", and get manicures/pedicures together. I know of a place that actually has kid-size spa chairs, with kid-friendly DVD movies to boot!

2) "Tea party for Two". I'm sure there are a couple of places in Dallas that do this, unfortunately I don't know of any.

Here's a place that hosts "Special" Monthly events in GRAPEVINE... http://www.letspretendteaparties.com/upcoming_events.htm

Best of luck to you and your daughter, and let us know what you decided to do!

Take care,
E.
