Seeking for a Non Denominational Church in Campbell/San Jose Area

My husband is Morman and I was raised Catholic. With two different worships, we feel that a non denominational church maybe suitable. We would like to find a church with an excellent children's program.

What can I do next?

K.,

I am 41 years old and I was raised at the church mentioned by Michele Young below. I started there when I was 6 months old. It is a great place. Center for Spiritual Living in San Jose. http://www.sanjosecenter.org/ I was also one of the Youth Leaders when I was in my late teens and early 20's.

I joined the LDS church at 29 and I think it has one of the BEST programs for children and youth. Give it a try. I was raised Catholic.

I have been attending the Center for Spiritual Living in San Jose which has provided my daughter and I a loving and supportive community to feel a part of. They have multiple service options including Wednesday nights, which I love as Sundays are often too busy. Check out their website at http://www.sanjosecenter.org/ to see the activities, and opportunities. I volunteer in the child care rooms, qhich are also staffed with professionals, and love the philosophy. Come and visit. I think you and your family will feel right at home.

Been going to Cathedral of Faith off of Curtner and 87 all my life and it couldn't get more 'non-denominational'!! They have tons of ministries (its impossible to get bored there) and the kids programs are huge and outstanding. They have a preschool there I am waiting to get into with my son in the next year or so (it also has a long waiting list) and the nursery for infants and toddlers is run by a very good staff. In fact, I think my aunt's mother still works there, if so, you're in luck-she's GREAT with the babies! Senior Pastor Kenny Foreman is a former Catholic as are probably more than 35-40% of the congregation! The worship style is upbeat and music is really good (its no Mormon Tabernacle Choir but you get my drift!) :) I think you'd enjoy it a lot...Ken Foreman Jr. pastors the church now and he's very likeable. The Foremans are VERY close friends of my family so at least I know their personal life backs up what they do and say on the pulpit. Let me know if it works out!

Hi K..

I just came across your message. I don't know if you have found a church yet. I saw that someone recommended Cathedral of Faith, which is a good church. But I go to the Home Church in Campbell. I've been there 26 years and love it. The congregation is my real family. My kids are involved in their children's program and they love it. There is also a scout program, kids choir, camps, etc. For the adults, there are home groups throughout the week, men's dinners and bible study groups, womens groups, recovery groups, all kinds of things to get involved in. I think you would like it there. We teach straight from the Bible, so we have no denomination other than being Christians. If you are still looking, give it a try. The church is located in the "shopping center" at 1799 Winchester Blvd. right off of Hamilton. The whole center is actually the church, but the sanctuary is on the far right. Hope you give us a try.
