Does anyone have any feedback about the following physicians? I am new to the area and need a new Dr. for myself, not my child.
Susan Fedinec (Plainfield)
Molly D'Costa (Naperville)
Laura Ellison (Naperville)
I am also looking for a good eye Dr.
I appreciate any comments, good or bad. Thanks, M.

What can I do next?

I have been taking my 2 sons ages 14 mo. and 3 years to ABC Peds. in Naperville. My childrens primary physician there is Dr. Erin Shanks. She is the best. Actually all the dr's there are FABULOUS. They are located on book and 75th st in naperville. phone number ###-###-####. They will spend as long as you need answering questions for you. If your child takes sick they will fit you in the same day you call. Again they are the best.
Have no suggestions on the eye dr!!

Hi M. -

I see Dr. Fedenic. I have to say she is a great Dr.
Like another woman said, she listens and she wants to find the answers, not just mask over the symptoms. I was referred to her by two of my co-workers.
Good luck!

I used to go to Dr. Susan Fedinec. I loved her! I had to switch Drs. due to insurance changes...Ugh! She was very patient with me and all my questions. She helps people fix the problems not just mask the symptoms.

The only doctor on that list that I am familiar with is Susan Fedinec. She was with Naperville Medical Associates for a period of time and my Mom went to her. My Mom liked going to Susan, however, Susan missed a really serious diagnosis that would have cost my Mom her life. It was a well-known disease, but one not frequently seen. I can't say that Susan made a mistake, per se, but her lack of experience (she's young) may have played into her not recognizing the symptoms. Luckily another doctor properly diagnosed and my Mom survived.

For an ob/gyn I would recommend Dr. M. Pfister out of Hinsdale. She's terrific for routine check-ups, etc. She's a mother herself and easy to relate to.

We see a phenomenal eye doc in Woodridge/Downers Grove. Dr. Leo Prentice on 75th Street about 1 mile east of Rt. 53.

Good doctors can be hard to find. Good luck & welcome to the area!!
