We have Comcast Digital Voice, as well as the tv service and internet. We haven't had any real problems with it. Ocassionally the phone service won't work.
We continue to receive the promotional adds for Comcast Digital Voice. I was wondering if anyone out there has the service and could provide some feedback regarding same.

I noticed you are a licensed childcare provider. Are you in the Mundelein area? If so, please contact me. I have a 4 week old that I will eventually need to find care for starting in Jan. on Wed. & Fri. I am a teacher and returning from my maternity leave. By that time he'll be almost 4 months old. ____@____.com
We have Comcast phone, tv, and internet. For the most part it works well, and we definitely save money with the phone service. However, I had one problem because my AT&T caller ID box was still hooked up. I called Comcast as well as used their online help, instant chat service, and sent e-mails, and no one was able to figure out what the problem was. I finally figured it out on my own. I told them I was ready to switch my service, and they still wouldn't send anyone out to try to solve it. They just said, "we have no idea why this is happening. Sorry." And that was that. I'm sticking with it because I'm saving money, but I'm not happy with their customer service. Hope this information is of help in making your decision.
My advice is don't get it i have it and every time there is high winds or it rains , i have no phone. It goes out all the time on me.
Hi K.- We have the whole thing- voice, digital and internet. You really save some money. We got a better deal on our internet when we signed up for voice too. Also make sure your installation is free, they should not charge you for that. S.

This summer, we went from having just Comcast cable to having Comcast Digital Voice and internet service. Aside from the sticker shock of having all three services on one bill (between $150 and $170 every month, but breaking it down, we were paying that when we had AT&T for phone service and Comcast for cable anyway, it's just convenient to pay for everything with one bill) I am rather pleased with all three services. We were having problems with our phone service with AT&T but since we have switched to Comcast Digital Voice, I haven't had a single issue. This has just been my experience with Comcast. Good luck!

I have had digital voice since it came out and I love it. It is extremely cheaper than the others. High recommend it.

We have vonage, which is similar and also much cheaper(although comcast is still cheaper than a landline)..I have had no problems with vonage, it was a piece of cake to install, totally a no brainer and I love it. I have gone from a 50/mo phone bill just for a landline phoneline, and caller id and voicemail, no long distance(used my cell phone) to paying $24.99/mo for unlimited local, long distance, call forwarding, voicemail, email notices when i receive a voicemail, caller id, 3 way calling, call waiting, and more i'm sure i'm forgetting..Totally worth giving up the "normal" high price monopolies....K.
We use Comcast for cable, internet, and voice services. We are saving a lot of money doing it this way. The upside: we save money and our internet is much faster. Downside: every once in a while I will try to call home (or someone else I know who has it) and I will get a strange meddage stating something to the effect that the line is unavailable, but won't give me the option to leave a voice mail.
We have Comcast High Speed Internet and Vonage. I highly recommend Vonage. We have had no problems. The only issue is that when the power goes out you lose phone service. Vonage however allows you to forward your phone to your cell or any other number if the power goes out so you don't miss any calls.

We have the whole Comcast package (digital cable, internet & phone). We have had ZERO issues with the products, company or installation. I would highly recommend it. Good luck.

We have Comcast internet and Vonage phone service. It is a similar service (internet phone) but is considerably cheaper. We like it so far, no problems. www.vonage.com
RUN!!! It is always going out mid-conversation for no reason but at least it's cheap!
We have it and love it. It's affordable and offers the E-911 service. If you are looking at internet/digital phones, make sure to read about the 911 service. We tried Vonage when it 1st came out and it was a pain in the butt to set-up - and I'm VERY computer literate.
