Gary Fishman is also very good. He is out of Putnam Hospital in Carmel, NY
My 13 year old son has been plagued with nosebleeds his entire life. When he was 5, I was told that he had an enlarged blood vessel that needed to be cauterized. He was too young at the time to be cooperative but at 13 he is asking me to have it done and I don't believe the Dr. I went to is still in practice. Does anyone have a good ear, nose and throat doctor to recommend in the Ridgefield area? Any experience with the cautery procedure?
So, we went to Dr. Safran in Ridgefield on Weds. She was pretty nice and did the procedure. According to my son, it was quite painful! She numbed him up pretty good but she acknowledged it can still hurt alot. What she neglected to tell me was that the silver nitrate used leaks out over the next few hours and it stains skin! So now, my son looks like he was in a prize fight. Apparently the brown stain fades over time as new skin replaces the old. Yikes! So far, no nosebleeds though. I guess that's good since that was the whole point. Can't wait to see the bill! Thanks for recommendations!

Dr. Barbara Safran with Advanced ENT is excellent.
She helped both my daughter and son.
I have lived in the Danbury area for almost 20 yrs. and have been to different doctors for all 3 of my childrens ears problems. She has an excellent bedside manner.
Good Luck with everything.
I really like Dr. Bruce Klenoff. His office is in Stamford, CT. His office # is###-###-####. Good luck!
