Seeking Donated Breast Milk for Adopted 6-Wk Old in Torrance

Hello ladies,
My family has been blessed with our second adopted daughter. Since her birth, we have been able to feed her about 75% on donated breast milk. The rest of the time she is drinking organig formula. I am looking for a local (West-dise, but South Bay preferred) abundantly pumpin' mama who might be interested in sharing her excess milk(or freezer stash). I am a member of Milkshare.com, and that is where we have gotten the bulk of our milk, but that supply is running dry. I know this concept is new to some folks, but there is actually a really strong network of mamas out there that are intent on making sure all babies have access to the "liquid gold" that human breast milk is. If anyone is interested please write me. Standard things like caffeine free and prenatal HIV and hepatitis B and C test results are appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance for considering giving my precious sweetpea Hope the gift of breast milk.

S.

S.,
YOU ARE AWESOME!
Good for you!
I LOVE that you are doing this!
Grace and Hope are blessed to have you as their mommy!
So have you worked on lactating yourself?
Even though you did not give birth, you can train your own body to produce milk, so that'd be great if you were able to nurse, even just a little bit!
;)
I am still nursing, but my little man is almost over it, and I do have a few bags in the freezer you are welcome to.
Liquid gold is right!
I recently threw some away because they were so old, I wish i had know about this before so i could have donated before it went bad.
Let me know if you'd like the few bags that I have.

Dear S.,

You might try calling Milkin Mamas...They are a source for collecting donated milk to be distributed to hospitals, etc. & maybe they can help.

The webiste is : www.milkinmamas.com

They are a local company (Seal Beach or Long Beach CA) and very nice people with generous spirits.

All the best and good luck. R.

Milkin Mamas ###-###-#### Keri and Alice run this group of moms and their breast milk. If anyone can help a mom in need of breast milk these ladies can.
