My family just got new dental insurance, and we can't see our usual dentist. We went to a new one last night, and he was awful. My husband and I both need some cavities taken care of, but we don't want to go back to that dentist. I'm wondering if any of you can recommend a good dentist in the Salt Lake area (we live in West Valley). I would like a gentle dentist with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Our insurance is Dental Select Gold and it's very hard to find dentists who accept it, but any recommendations you can give will help. Thank you!

We absolutely LOVE Jordan River Dental in South Jordan (right by the Jordan River Temple). We seeked out this office after having a really bad experience somewhere else. We see dentist David Miller- he is our favorite, although we have also seen the other dentists in that office and they are all fabulous. Their phone # is ###-###-####.
If you are willing to go to Orem Dr. Pincock is really good. They are very helpful just call them I think they take that insurance because I think that's what I had when I went to him. I hate to go to the dentist but I have to say I had a better experience at their office and I would go back without a problem.
I don't know if he accepts it, but you could call Copper creek dental. They are the best we have ever found. Dr. Rob Staley is especially wonderful. They are in West Jordan on 7800 S and about 3000 W. Right across from the Macey's.

Our dentist is Dr. Chris Goodman at Fashion Place Dental in Murray. They accept the insurance you mentioned, and our family has been very happy with his care. He has done crowns on me, and did two big fillings on my ten year old that went very well. I would recommend trying him.
I saw someone recommend Dr.Coleman, he is great. If your in need of a pediatric dentist Dr. Tew on 7800 south across from Target is AWESOME his office is a huge tree house and they have games and movies for your kids while waiting and getting theirr teeth done. It makes it alot easier on the little ones. We have the same dental plan as you. Pays 100 % on cleanings and preventative but the other things (fillings & such) can get a little expensive, but that maybe that this ins just does not cover as much as our old one did.
I live in Taylorsville, but it is worth the trip to see Dr Eric Felt by the University of Utah. He is a family man and has been very kind to my family through the years.

We go to a REALLY GOOD one @ Jordan Landing. Dr R. Eric Johansen. Right next to Target/Best Buy area. And his brother does the peds/kids right next door. We have been going there for a year. I had never been to him before, then my old crown fell of on a weekend. We got his number thru a friend and called him on a Sat. He called me right back and told me to come in right away on Monday. I can't say enough good things about his office. Not sure if they take your insurance, but it is worth a shot....his office # is ###-###-####.

Our family (me & hubby, my mom, brother etc.) has gone to Dr. C. Ray Coleman for years, and really like him. 3165 West 4500 South ph ###-###-####. His entire staff is great and they always seem to be running on time, so you don't spend a lot of time waiting to be seen.

We love Dr. Jerald Boseman. He is in at 4100 S and Highland Dr, which may be a bit far. But he is very good, especially with the kids. My 7-year-old has needed a fair amount of dental work, and Dr. Boseman has been very good with him. I've always liked him for us grown-ups too!
I don't know if they accept that particular insurance, but my dentist is Dr. Thomas Broadbent at Pioneer Valley Dental (in West Valley) and I think they do a great job. Only once did I have a hygentist who wasn't terribly friendly (and I don't think she works there anymore). Everyone in my family sees him - my kids, my brother's family, even my sister and her husband come up from St. George to see him.

The best dentist in the Valley is Dr. Cozad.
He does except Dental Select Gold. He is in West Jordan but worth the drive. My husband and my kids hate going to the Dentist but since I found Dr. Cozad everyone totally loves Dr. Cozad. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my kids. Very sweet loving man and wonderful staff.
