Hello all you creative moms,

My daughter's second birthday party is this Sunday and we are having a farmyard theme. Barns, cows, pigs, horses ect...... Does anyone have any cute ideas for simple snacks that might relate to the theme? We have cupcakes for dessert so I am just looking for quick snacks. Thanks for any ideas!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for your great ideas! We had apples and carrot for the horses, trail mix for the chickens, haystacks, and pig slop (choc. pudding with different items to add in it) All the kids had a blast and the parents enjoyed the treat also!

You can easily turn the cupcakes into pig faces and cat faces.

Obviously animal crackers would be appropriate!

Hi there-

Happy Birthday to your little girl. While I don't have any ideas for birthday party ideas, I am in the process of selling a bedding outfit with the animal farm theme and wondered if you would be interested?

It's for a full size bed and I have the comforter, sheet set, valences and dust ruffle available. All would be for $50. Thoughts? http://www.olivekids.com/dr-FARM.html

Apples and carrots for horses, trail mix for the chickens, mixed veggies for the pigs (pig slop). Also, I made this a few weeks ago.

Haystacks

Mix 1 cup butterscotch chips and ½ cup peanut butter.
Stir over medium heat or heat on half power in the microwave.
Pour mixture over 2 cups chow mein noodles and blend.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a cookie sheet to cool.

If you are looking for hor d'ouvre type things, you could practically take anything and turn it into one--pigs in a blanket is one that comes to mind and easy to make.

Any other snack/etc that you can find that has an animal :)
