Try the Texas Cooperative Extension Service or Texas AgriLife. They have loads of free programming from the state and offer nutrition/cooking demo classes and at times you get free cook books, recipes, gagets (fridge thermometer, etc.).
Hey Mamas! I'm looking for a cooking class that will teach nutrition. I don't really want the fad things (low/no carbs, cave man diet, etc). Anyone know of any?

I also know about that class at Central Market that was mentioned. But I went in to check it out and sign up, and they said they were thinking of canceling it because so far only three people had signed up!!! So, please call and express your interest today so they won't cancel it! It looks like a really good thing, and I don't want to have to miss it:) ###-###-####
J., I am in Tupperware and we do a lot of cooking classes (FREE)--teaching people how to eat healthy! Most of the foods are cooked in the microwave which makes it a lot easier and less time consuming. We have the products and recipes to choose from, also. Check out my website, it is: www.my.tupperware.com/velmagarcia, then let me know what you think!
Central Market's Spring Foodie magazine/catalog has a "positively ageless" class advertised. Looks like it is based on the Biggest Loser show. Suggest you call Central Market cooking school to find out more. Good luck!
Fort Worth Central Market Cooking School is hosting a class by Cheryl Forberg, RD, Nutritionist for NBC's Biggest Loser on Friday March 27th. They just started advertising it last week. I'd sign up fast before the class fills up. It's a 3 part class. It's also pricey but you leave with a copy of her book and tons of useful information. I take a cooking class at Central Market once a month. They're worth the price. Plus you get to eat all the food the chef's make and drink wine for no extra charge.
