We would like one that is not too big or small (congregation of about 100-200) and is spirit filled in worship/music, but not hard rock and not only hymns with piano only. We like upbeat, but strong Bible teaching (word for word) and good people who will talk to you and make friends with you. We'd like to stay in Conroe.

What can I do next?

I know of two churches I personally have attended and enjoyed. Lord of Life Luthern on Panther Creek; it is the first Panther Creek on Woodlands Parkway heading west from I-45. Gp left on that Panther Creek. The other is Christian Community Church on Falconwing, left off Woodlands Parkway west. Strong bible teaching, very good Youth Group, and very Family orientated. There is also Fellowship of the Woodlands on 242 west. I have never attended, although 1 of the Pastors, Kerry Shook, broadcasts on TV Sunday mornings. I've enjoyed those sermons several times. I have heard good things about this church and I know they also have a strong Youth Ministeries. They are VERY large. Good luck, happy & Blessed shopping.

You may want to try The Ark, located on 45, just south of 105, close to Gullo Toyota. You can check out their website at arkchurch.org :)

The Lonestar Cowboy Church in Mongtomery is the best, most spirit-filled, open church I've ever attended. It's not a bunch of hicks either... it's just down to earth families worshiping together. BEAUTIFUL inside, INside, and outside. It's on highway 105 in Montgomery. They have ALL SORTS of chidren/youth/family events and activities.

Check their website. http://www.lonestarcowboychurch.org/
