Seeking Chiropractor Advice!

Dr. Michael Shippy at Park and Coit in Plano is the BEST in the world! I have UHC and he works with it. ###-###-#### He has a table for pregnant women and adjusted me throughout my pregnancy. I love him and won't see anyone else!

Mary Collings is AMAZING - you should definitely give her a try! My husband and I have gone to her for several years - I also went while I was pregnant. Very highly Recommend her!

Know nothing about those chiropractors BUT I have a fabulous chiropractor in Plano (Parker Rd & Alma) at Mountain Health Chiropractic. Dr Andrew Shepherd - he is fabulous with people especially kids. Puts everyone at ease and is very personable. He is also a clinical nutritionist and focuses on good nutrition and natural supplements to help the body heal itself in conjunction with chiro care. But if you just want chiro care he's great for that as well. He helped me through my 2nd pregnancy with some pretty severe hip & pelvic pain : ). Good Luck. His number is ###-###-####.

He adjusted my daughter during her pregnancy. He's also worked wonders on me. We used to have UHC, so I know he takes it.

His office is located at the corner of Beltline and Walnut Hill behind the McDonald's. It's about a mile south of 161 which is the end/start of the Bush here in Irving, so it's very accessible.

He is so amazing! I have been to many, many doctors in my life, and none have lived up to him. I believe he treats his patients as all doctors should. He genuinely cares about helping you. He will listen to anything you need to tell him. His two office ladies are also wonderful and will remember your name. I am sure he accepts UHC. He is very reasonably priced also. Your first visit which includes your x-rays (probably not if you're pregnant), is free. He just asks for a small fee that he donates to charity. I do know that he does work on pregnant women. After my first adjustment, he called me that evening to see how I was feeling because a lot of times you can be really sore from them! THAT is what I call a patient-oriented doctor!

YES---Ruth Durkee---she specifically works with pregnant women. She is WONDERFUL. I went to her while pregnant and so did all of my friends.

If you are near Rockwall, I would highly recommend Remarkable Care, Dr. Ann Klesmit and her staff are wonderful! They take UHC, that's what I was on. I'm not sure if she works with Pregnant women, didn't see her until after I had my kiddos. She completely solved my back pain problem and did a simple adjustment that immediately took away my Carpul(sp?)Tunnel Syndrome. Also, did physical therapy there with Kimmie, she's awesome!

Dr. Michael Ashby works on pregnant women and take UHC. He is very, very good and will take alot of time with you, not just adjust you and shove you out the door. He also does Homeopathic medicine and acupuncture. But he is fantastic. His number is ###-###-####. He's in the shopping center at the corner of Jupiter Rd. & Lookout Dr. about a mile south of H-190.

We have United Healthcare & have a WONDERFUL chiropractor - Dr Sue Yu, ###-###-####. She works on pregnant women & also has amazing massage therapists in office. I don't know what location you prefer, but she is at Central/75 & Walnut Hill. Good Luck!

I go to Michael Moreau because he is near my house. Have you thought of physical therapy? Summit Physical therapy is great. Ask for Teena. You do need a prescription from your OB. I think their copay is a bit higher than going to a chiropractor. I've gone there for both of my pregnancies. They adjust and give you a massage too. They do have pregnancy table.

my chiropractor is Dr. Andrew Goodman, ###-###-####. I highly recommend him. He has helped me and many of my friends. His services expand beyond spinal manipulation (ie: food allergies, laser pain treatments, etc.). Pls call him for more info....you'll be glad you did. Mary Collings, & Jay Humphrey ARE THE BEST, especially Mary, she knows so much. They are both located in Las Colinas from the same office south of the horses. My family has been seeing Mary & Jay for a long time off & on. My daughter who plays select soccer has hip problems & Mary & Jay are the only ones that can adjust her & it actually stays in place for a while. We have used other Chiro's that over adjust and sometimes make it worse. THEY BOTH HAVE "THE TOUCH"!!!
One time there & you will not want to go to anyone else. Tell them A. Hernandez referred you!

I live in Garland and have used 3 diff. chiropractors in the Dallas area. All were ok. However, I've just begun using a new chiropractor that is located in Rowlett. They also work with Gonino Wellness Group located in Heathe (Rockwall.)

I have had the best month of the last 5 years since going to see this new one. In fact, the Fibromyalgia I deal with is largly non-existent since seeing this Chiro just twice in one week a month ago! My tender points in my back are GONE. I'm off my pain medication entirely. I was taking 500 mg of a prescription painkiller twice a day along with another 50 mg painkiller twice a day. Now I just take a single Aleve once in a while. I've also cut my depression medication dosage in half as well. The truly big difference is having gone to Traxler Chiropractic Clinic in Rockwall. They're EXCELLENT. I HIGHLY recommend them!! You can look it up online too.

I went to Dr. Theresa Jones in north Garland (near Firewheel Mall) when I was pregnant. I see her somewhat regularly and really like her practice. It's called WholeHealth Chiropractic and is located on Naaman School Road.

I have seen Dr. Mary Collings for about 5 years now and love her. She will really help your back/neck. She used to be and may still be the chiropractor for the Dallas Stars. I went to her while pregnant with my daughter over 3 years ago. Also, my friends have seen her partner Dr. Jay Humphrey and seem to be satisfied with him as well. They have an office in Las Colinas and Highland Park Center. Dr. Mary is in the Highland Park office Tuesday and Thursday. She is in Las Colinas Mon, Wed & Fri.

I have been involved in Chiropractic education for many years and just want to advise you to choose a Chiropractor who has had postgraduate training in treating pregnant women. Chiropractic care is great for pregnancy but just make sure you choose the right Chiropractor. They get minimal training during regular Chiropractic College so postgraduate training is important. Simply ask them what postgraduate training they have had.

What I really like is that he uses a high teche machine to adjust your spine . It doesn't hurt and it would be very gentile on a pregant mom .
