Could anyone recommend a safe daycare facility for my daughter? (or tell me ones to avoid?) She will be 12 weeks old when I return to work. We just moved to the St. Louis area. I live on Hwy 141, just north of Hwy 40 and I will be working in Fenton, so those are the areas I'd like to find child care in. Any information provided would be appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

L.,
I have a wonderful babysitter (in home daycare) in the Chesterfield area. she is located at 141 and Olive.
Her name is Shonda Davisson and the name of her daycare is Kiddie Academy of Montessori. she has a website you can visit under the same name... kiddieacademyofmontessori.com

My son has been going there for over a year and really enjoys it. she loves the kids and is very good at working with them. If you are interested in talking to her, her phone number is ###-###-####. and if you have any further questions you would like to ask me, feel free to email me.

I am responding the another person's response on the Centre at Conway. My son has been attending that daycare for the past 2 years and I love it. My sister sent both of her children there who are now 10 and 8. The teacher's are amazing! I have never had one complaint and the other parents feel the same way. My sister's child has a mild form of autism and when she need their help to work with the state to get assistance in the public school systems, the teacher's actually took time off to meet with officials and were a tremendous help in getting what my sister needed. As the children get older and move into different classes they take field trips monthly. My son loves them. My only negative comment is they are expensive. I have a baby on the way and cannot afford to send two children there. I'm actively seeking in-home care for the baby till my son starts kindergarten next year. Any suggestions on that would help.

I don't know if you want to drive out of your way, but my little girl is VERY happy at The Elegant Child (elegantchildcampus.com) in Wildwood. Otherwise, The Chesterfield Day School on Olive Blvd in Chesterfield (near 40), is nice, a friend of mine has worked there as a teacher for many years.

Hope that helps.
