Seeking Bakery to Make Allergen-free Birthday Cake

Does anybody know of any bakeries in the south or SW suburbs that make cakes for people with food allergies? My son is 3, and allergic to wheat, eggs, milk, barley, and nuts. I usually make him a cake but they aren't always that tasty or are very heavy in texture. I have found ingredients from Whole Foods, but I would love to find a place that can decorate it really cute like a real cake.

Hopefully someday he'll outgrow his allergies, but for now I'm hoping to find a place to help. Some places will make gluten free, but he has so many other food allergies that it is hard to find a place. I called 2 places in Naperville and 1 in Plainfield, but they didn't make any. Thank you!

What can I do next?

Try Whole Foods. The one by me (Wheaton) has a bakery.

My daughter also has food allergies (dairy and eggs) so for her birthdays, holidays and other special events we use the Cherrybrook Kitchen mixes which you can get at Whole Foods, Jewel, Meijers and some Super Targets. Their products are free of most, maybe all, of the eight top food allergens. They have cake mixes, frosting mixes, brownie mixes and cookie mixes and they all taste GREAT! The other kids and the rest of our family and friends don't even know the difference :) I know you were looking for bakery info but if you can't find one then making it at home really isn't that bad, especially since you can be sure that it is really allergy free! Best of Luck to you and a very Happy Birthday to your little man!

Try Whole Foods, my family has a ton of allergies and I know they make allergen free cookies. It was the one in Danada Square Wheaton.

There is a bakery in New Lenox that does gluten-free cakes and such, so they'd be able to help in that way. As far as the other needs they may be able to do it for you with enough notice. I can't remember the name of the bakery, but I know they are on a main road in New Lenox and I heard they are very good GF baked goods.
