Seeking an OBGYN in Wichita Falls

I'm new to the area and recently found out I'm pregnant. I'm looking for a good OBGYN. Preferably one experienced in dealing with endometriosis. If not, that's okay. I just want a real good one. I lived here 8 years ago and had a man that was very 'cold' and told me all my pain was just part of being a woman.

What can I do next?

Dr. Lamar at Clinics of North Texas is my favorite.

The women's clinic doctors also have a very favorable reputation.

Avoid Mehta (on 10th) and Ghambari (also Clinics of North Texas) (for OB)- but from your description, you've already met G. I have heard that Mehta is an excellent Gyn surgeon, should you decide on that option for dealing with your endo - but he has a definite God complex when dealing with pregnant women, and Ghambari uses forceps routinely on 6 lb babies.

Good luck
S.

I also go to Dr. Godfrey and have been very happy with him.

Hello C.,
I have never used this gentleman but many of our parents do. His name is Dr. Lamar. They say he is wonderful. Best of luck to you!

Run, don't walk to Dr. Donna Smith on Kemp & Ave K! She's a clinical nutritionist... the best! She had a woman come to her with endometriosis SO bad her regular dr wanted to do a hysterectomy. Dr. Smith asked her to see if he would give her 3 months so she could do a nutritional therapy with her. After 3 months the endometriosis was completely gone! Her regular doctor wanted to do the hysterectomy anyway "just in case." The woman, thankfully, said no and went on to have two kids! If it weren't for Dr. Smith she would never have had kids! You can call her at ###-###-#### or email ____@____.com. Website is www.advancedclinicalnutrition.com. I'm going to see her tonight so I'll forward your note to her so she'll know who you are when you call. Not IF but when, right?

Dr. Lamar is my doctor, and we love him! He could not have been better when my son was born, and my husband was really comfortable with him too.

I also have a good friend who goes to Dr. Winfrey at the Women's Clinic and loves her.

Both of these are good choices - good luck, God bless, and congratulations!

Dr Lamar delivered my twins on a Friday night as an emergency. He was really great, never panicked, or let me know. LOL. He even came to see me in the hospital the next day.
My doctor is Dr. Stephen Godfrey at the Clinics of North Texas. I like him also, he is very fast but always took time to answer my questions.
Good luck.
