I would suggest you also contact your insurance co they can help narrow down your search by giving you doctors they approve already then you can look them up online and see who meets your criteria.
I am searching for a great female pediatrician preferably in the northwest side of Chicago, out of Lutheran General and or specialize in child nutrition/obesity? Or just a general pediatrician. Any suggestions would help!

What you don't like male pediatrician? ha ha/ just kidding!
My insurance provider has an online list, does yours? I usually go on there, look up the Dr in my area, then type in their name to google and look up reviews, focus your search for those who practice at Lutheran General (which looks like it has a great rep). Or review the pedis there and contact their office to see if they take your insurance.
Although she's not on the NW side, we love Dr. Aleta Clark, of Child and Adolescent Health Assoc. She's at 1030 N. Clark (between Oak and Maple), ###-###-####. Here's a yelp link to them:

In addition to doing your research (online, with your insurance company, etc.) it is great to get direct recommendations too. We love our pediatrician (female) and her partner (male) when our ped was out of town, although I sometimes have issues with some of the office staff. Our pediatrician is Dr. Elba-Julie Quinones - North Park Pediatrics - and they're at Pulaski and Foster. We love her so much we still drive to the far NW side of the city to see her, even though we now live on the south side of the city. Good luck with your search!
Kidz Health, Dr. Kamala Ghaey. Other female doctors in the group as well. They work with Children's Memorial Hospital and Advocate Illinois Masonic. I know they are working with Children's Memorial on a program for overweight children.
i am not from there but our hospital has a great website which has bios on each of the physicians. try the hospital's website.
Is there a specific reason you only want a female?
My daughter was nervous about doctors and dentists so I always scheduled with females thinking it would go better.
The ONLY pediatrician and dentist she trusted were males.
There was something about them and their demeanor that clicked with her.
Go figure.
Kids feel safe with who they feel safe with so perhaps it's not the best idea to cut that resource pool in half unless there are serious underlying issues.
Just saying.
Best wishes in your search.
