I am 40 years old and have been having problems with my period for 6 months now I was told that I need to try going back on birth control or a hysterectomy by my dr. So now I am in need of a second opinion. I am looking for a women gynocolgist so I can decide on what procedure to do next. I am having brown spotting in between my periods have to wear a pad everyday. This is making me crazy and I just want to take care of this problem so I can live a normal life and not have to worry everyday. If anyone has a name and number and address and if you could tell me a little about the doctor that would be great.

I absolutely love my OB/Gyne. Her name is Dr. Laureen Ambrose and she works out of the Palos Primary Care Center in Orland (153rd and West Avenue) and her number is ###-###-####. Her office hours are Tuesday 5p-8p, Thurs 9a-1p and Friday 9a-12p with occasional Saturday hours. She is the type of doctor that does not sugar coat anything and tells it to you straight! I have been going to her for 12 years and would not consider going anywhere else.

Dr. Leipold or Dr. Gumple in Palos Heights. They are in practice together. Dr. Leipold delivered my 2 girls and my mom see's Dr. Gumple. They are both great. The number is ###-###-####.
I also go to Dr. Miller in Hickory Hills, and I also know many of my friends who go to her. She is the best. She delivered my one year old daughter. She really cares about her patients and also listens to them. However, she is not afraid to say exactly what she thinks. I needed that during pregnancy, or I would have gained sooooo much more weight.

Dr. Maureen Mietelski has an office out of Orland Park but I only know the Flossmoor office number...###-###-####)...I'm sure they could give you the Orland number. Her bedside manner is not the greatest but I think she is a competent dr.
I go to dr. Ka-Widemann in Frankfort. She is amazing. So very gentle, kind and compassionate. I just started with her, but others recommended her highly.

She is a great Dr. I have been going to her for at least 10 years. I think that she is a bit expensive but she is good. Good Luck!
