Hi everyone! I have two cats and one of them absolutely refuses to get in her car carrier (have also tried pillow cases and leashes). I have been unable to get to the vet for two years and I have the scars on my arms to prove it. The vet I had been going to (Bay Village Animal Clinic) has been absolutely NO help at all. I have been very disappointed with them and I can't even get the dr. to call me back. When I used to live in Cincinnati I had a vet that made house calls, but I have not been able to find one here. Please help!!! My kitty needs her shots! Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

Sorry I can't help you. We use to have one that made house calls when we lived on the east side of cleveland but not found one since we moved to the west side. If you find one that makes house calls please forward that information to me also if you don't mind. We haven't taken our 50+ dog to the vet since we moved and I would really like to have her seen. We love the vets that make house calls.

Hi K.,
My girlfriend is a vet. She works nights as an Emergency Room vet, but also has a business called "Mobile Vet Services". Her phone number is ###-###-####. Her name is Nicki Gambitta. She is out of Strongsville, but does travel to a lot of areas.

I am not sure if they make house calls or not but the Northview Animal clinic in North Ridgeville has been very nice to deal with. The only name I have for house calls is if you are putting your pet to sleep. I am not sure if they do anything else or not. That info is Joanne Blaha ###-###-####, maybe she could be of more help?
Good luck -

I had a cat who acted very much like yours. In the end, we decided to give a sedative to her before going anywhere in the car. (I was against the idea of drugs, but it made all the difference.) Plus, when she was a little more relaxed, the vet was actually able to do a proper exam.

Sorry, but we haven't had a pet since we moved to Cleveland, so I have no advice on vets, but I do know there is a Cat Clinic on Madison Avenue in Lakewood. They might be a little bit more receptive to your challenges.
