I am looking for some ideas for a cheap vacation that my husband, son and I could go. We went to Disney World last year, but we are more on a budget this year with the economy, etc. We are thinking of going on a vacation during Spring Break or June.

The Texas Hill Country.....Enchanted Rock, Sea World....Carlsbad Caverns, Corpus Christie, or Galveston....Padre (wouldn't go anywhere near there during spring break!) Turner Falls is in Ok, but its only like an hour and a half from DFW.
How about renting a beach house in galveston? You would save on eating out and get a pretty nice house with not too much money. There is a boat there that I want to go on with the kids I think its one of those big paddle boats, it only costs 7.00 a person to ride, we might do this this year, it seems like there is a lot to do down there with a small budget!
