You might want to try the half of half store in Overland park or go to Goodwill in Shawnee for work clothes.

If you live in the NKC area Zona Rosa has a Marshalls. My husband is a real tightwad and loves Marshalls because of the name brands and the cheaper prices. Hopefully that is helpful. Good luck and God Bless.

Steve and Barry's everything is $8.98. I've buy my husband clothes there. Was impressed how well they hold up. Also, I'm not sure where you live but in the Northland. The Salvation Army off of Antioch on Friday all mens clothes are $.99 cents. I hope this help.

I dont know what area you are in but I used to work at a store called Savers - they are an upscale thrift store. Its out in Independence off of Noland Road. There was alot of people that would buy their work clothes there and it is very reasonably priced.

For jeans and shirts, I strongly suggest any of the local thrift stores. I'm not sure which city you are in, but there are thrift stores all over - at least 3 in Liberty, a great one in Claycomo - and I have bought many wonderful tshirts and long sleeve shirts there as well as a couple pair of jeans & sweatpants for low, low prices. You can always watch for 1/2 price days too. If you aren't worried about how 'pretty' they are, the shopping is that much quicker! As for the socks - watch the ads for sales at walmart, dollar general, etc, you'll have money left over from the tshirts & jeans to buy socks at the store. Good luck!

Thrift-Stores! Love 'em here, especially for the kids summer clothes. The only last a month or so, especially for my son so I hate to buy them nice clothes. But if I spend time looking, I can find school clothes that are name brand and hardly used. Look around and find one you like because some are a bit more expensive then others. My favorite is the Salvation Army on Antioch in the Northland. They have days of the week sales like on Saturday kids clothes are $.49 and they get in tons of stuff so there is always good stuff. Sometime when you walk in they have special sells, like mens clothes, are $.49. It takes more time sifting through to get the good stuff but think of it as getting paid the difference for your time. If you don't like thrift stores, I suggest Dave and Barry's. They have a few through out the city. They have similar prices as Walmart but better quality. As for socks, stores like BigLots, Cargo Largo, Dollar General and even the dollar stores sometimes carry them real cheap. Most of them are close to others things like grocery stores so you can run by instead of making an extra trip and wasting gas

Try going to thrift stores. Some stores even have a tag day which means on that day a certain tag will be on sale somethimes it is 50% off. There are alot around the city. There is one in Independence called Savers I would not go there unless it would be Thursday-Sunday that is the only day they have tags on sale. They are really expensive for a thrist store otherwise. But there are many others out there. There is a nice store on 23rd and I think Lee's Summit Road by Ryans they are really cheap.

Goodwill or Salvation Army thrift stores might be a good place for shirts and pants. Craigslist also, I see a lot of people just give away stuff under the FREE section. My brother worked at the Salvation Army thrift store in Olathe,for a while, and he said that on Thursdays all the men's clothes were $0.99. Good Luck!

VF Factory outlet at the Great Mall in Olathe is cheap for jeans, my husband has gotten jeans there for work for $10. My husband gets very dirty on his job too, so don't rule out some good old white vinegar (at least a cup or two) thrown in the washing machine with the detergent. It is grease cutting, and won't leave grease swirls in your washing machine basket either. It has worked great for me for years. Hope this helps!!!

Well, you didn't say where you normally get them but maybe Wally World (Walmart) or Thrift Stores (err, except for the socks.)

I would look a Dollar Generl and Big Lots. Last week the ad at Big Lots had jeans for $8.

Go to your local thrift store and they sell used jeans and shirts pretty cheap since they are going to get filthy anyway. This way if they get ruined you can just toss them and save money instead of buying new.

I'd think about maybe hitting some fall garage sales. Almost all the neighborhoods will be having "all neighborhood" ones pretty soon. I know that a few years ago I had a gentleman buy me out of t-shirts and pants. He told me he bought 5 t-shirts a week and just threw them away every night. At about 25 cents a shirt it was cheaper than trying to wash them or ruining a "good" shirt. Thrift stores might also be a place to look, especially for pants. I find great clothing items there, many still with the tags!

The clothes here are new but either stained from being on the racks or tried on, irregulars or missing buttons. A few times I've seen things that were beyond just tried on and looked very used. Just check them over because some of them are almost impossible to fix. I've gotten some great deals. It does take time to sort through everything. Double check their return policy, they have gotten pretty strict with it. I have seen socks there as well.

Either Wal-mart if you dont care about the quality or there is a store on Barry Road & 169 highway called Steve and Barrys. Everthing is $10 - or at least is was the last time I was there. You might also try some of the local Goodwill stores around, you can usaully find some pretty awesome stuff in there. I get my kids' "play clothes" there which leaves more money for their school clothes. the cheapest place for socks would probably be Wal-mart - that is not something I would buy secondhand.
