Seeking a Location for 1 Year Old Party

Help, I am wanting to have my son's birthday party at a location that kids can roam around and not get trampeled over. I was thinking of having it in my home but to have 15+ people in the middle of the summer doesn't seem reasonable. I can't find any place that has a banquet room but hoping someone out there has ideas.

What can I do next?

Hi J.,
For a one year old, there aren't many places around that I know of for kids that age. I would suggest seeing if someone in your party has a big enough backyard to may be do the party there so that it can accommodate everyone.

I would suggest Bounce World, but older kids go there as well, and the wee ones will definitely get tripped over.

I had my son's party here at the house, and only invited a small amount of people. I have a small house, so not really enough room to have a lot of people over.
I would suggest Busy Bodies Planned Play, but they are expensive.
May be at the ZOO in the am? Say for instance, the Wild Life World Zoo? With their new Aquarium, the kiddos would sure love it. Then of course, you'll have to worry that everyone can afford their own way. With this all said, I would definitely see if someone has a big enough backyard for an am party. I wish I could be of more help to you. Hope this helps though. :-)

We did our sons first bday at Peter Piper. It was perfect for every age. The older kids had their games and the younger kids played in the little "gym" And my son at the time was one just got handed to people to hold and people took turns walking him around.

I would suggest a bounce place if one is old enough. A lot of them allow you to rent one of the play rooms for a birthday party so only your group would be playing in there. Or someone else's house (we hold ours at my MILs).

If cost isn't an issue, I would suggest having it at Gymboree or Little Gym. They give you 2 hours for the party. I had my son's 1 year birthday party at Gymboree and it was great. The instructor had a 30-45 min activity for them, then they were free to run around and climb on their jungle gym type equipment. They also provided a separate room for the food. I catered the food in but the clean up was done by the staff at Gymboree. Hope this info is helpful. If you are interested, I would call the facility to get more info. Good luck with the planning.
