I moved to the coast 2 years ago this August, & am wanting to find a good Dr. in the area, hopefully even in Auburn. I have hypothyroidism (low thyroid), have a family history of cancer, & have had to have mammograms redone, have had them twice a year & other tests for breast cancer some years. I am lucky if I get away with having one mammorgram a year. I also have osteopenia, & am due for a bone scan this year & this year is also to be my year for another colonoscopy, so if you know a good Dr. who does that, that would also be greatfully appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I called on one of the Dr.'s that was suggested & they were not taking any new patients, so called on another Dr. who was not one of the ones sent directly to me, but had found when I read a similar request for a Dr. I have an appointment now & am hoping that the Dr. I have chosen will be a good one. Thanks to all of you. I will still be hopefully using one of the Dr.'s (colonoscopy) that was directly sent to me.

I can give you a good OBGYN and a good doctor for a colonoscopy, but they are in the Renton area. (I live in Covington/Kent) The good OBGYN is Dr. Channell ###-###-####
at Valley Medical Center (she wasn't my doctor but when I was sent to the hospital because of pre-term labor...she took really good care of me. I've seen her a lot every since and she just is great.) The other doctor for a colonoscopy is Dr. Thomas ###-###-#### at Valley too. He really gets to the bottom of the problem and has a great bedside manner (funny guy, I guess you have to for that kind of job.) I don't know of any doctor that can do both jobs (especially the colonoscopy) so you'll have to probably go see specialists.
