So trying to think of a fun/silly or it could even be practical secret santa gift for a soon to be cousin in law. our cousin just proposed to her she has been with him for a while. The catch is we live far away from them and I don't know her very well myself. She is in her mid 20's which she is close to in age to me but we have two very different lives.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

What can I do next?

I would get her a bedside jewelry box (think just big enough to keep the rings safe at night) and a thing of jewelry cleaner. I received this as a gift right after we got engaged and loved it! I have since given it many times and have found out that those ladies have "copied" my stolen idea and done the same!

I love scarves. They are in and there is a style for everyone. Knit one yourself! Go to her Facebook page and get an idea of her style.

Vera Bradley. Even the coin purses are cute if you are supposed to keep your gift under $20. Does she wear glasses? They have beautiful glass cases.

A subscription to Bride Magazine.

Pull photos from her facebook and make a photo album of her and your cousin. Just the two of them...... or a slideshow.

Make a book of family recipes for her.

New pajamas are always fun!

I'd give her a Bath & Body gift card or Starbucks or something like that.

How about a gift certificate for a pedicure at a local nail salon? It should be easy to find a good one on Yelp or something.

You could also send her books with a gift receipt, so if she's read them or has different taste, she can easily exchange them for something she likes better.

Gift certificate to amazon or itunes.

You could also send something that she'd be able to use for her upcoming wedding - a picture frame with a note inside (where the photo would go) that says "wedding picture here," pretty champagne glasses for their toast (my sister got me beautiful ones for under $5 each at BevMo), cute lingerie or a garter, etc.

Not sure of a fun or silly gift, but for practical gifts that would likely get used - nice candle(s), bath & body works hand soaps, etc., Burts Bees gift sets (mini versions foot/hand creme, lip stuff, etc.), regular cookbook or a specialty one, like one focused on desserts, I always like a good/special ornament. Good luck! Hard to know if you don't know her well, but hopefully you have some sort of inside information so you can get an idea of her :-)

I like the type of gifts where you don't have to worry about sizes....

I have found that a fancy candle makes a perfect gift for someone you don't know very well.

I've also given little notecards with the person's name on them - we have a gift shop right up the street and they have pretty notecards - and they have hard to find names.

I've made winter scarves for people - personal but yet one size fits all!!

Picture frames are always nice.

Christmas ornament - you can always find a nice one no matter what your price range.

Good luck!!
