My mom recently went to Modern Wave which I think is in Cary and said it was a nice place. I actually think it's reviewed on here. I plan to try it.
My old hair dresser recently decided to stay at home with her children. I am in desperate need for a touch-up and cut. I am looking for a place close to home that will not empty the piggy bank. Any suggestions??!!??
Thanks for all your responses. I ended up at Hair Cuttery on Randall Rd. I used Kelly. She did a great job.

The Cosmotolgy(sp?) in Crystal Lake off of 176. They do a terrific job. You can just walk in and they will take you although the longest we've ever waited was 10 minutes. Everyone is very friendly and they do an excellent job. If you take Randall to 31 go left take that to 176 go left and its down by the offices number 690-700? you go right and in the parking lot go left and its the last door. You can call for hours. Haircuts are $8.00 and highlights are $30.00
hi!
Glad to see everyone likes the hair cuttery..
I go to the one in lake in the hills on randall road.. by the walgreens and Govenors public house.. I love kaeli.. she has training at an upscale salon and then went to hair cuttery..
if you go, if you could mention Pam sent you!!!
I have been going to taylor stevens in Lake in the Hills for my highlights for 3 years.I finally decided to leave Mario's in Schumburg since a hair cut was $70 and taylor stevens is $45 color is like $25-30. Prices depends on who does your hair. The girl who does my hair has been there longer than most and she is $45 for a haircut but she more expensive than most of the stylists there.
Hi D.!
I know of many people who go to Paul Hyland salon in Crystal Lake and only have good things to say about it.
Hair Cuttery on Randall Road...all the the stylists I have had there have been good and their prices are very reasonable.
I usually go to Mario Tricoci and finally got tired of paying $200 every time I went in. I went to two different Hair Cuttery salons recently and had great results for about a tenth of the price of MArio Tricoci. Good luck, it's so hard to find a good stylist.
It depends on price as to where you go. I go to the Makeover Zone on Randall Rd. and I love them. I have been to many different salons around the area, from cheap to very expensive, and they have always done the best job. You pay around $25-38 for a haircut, depending on who you go to. I love the owner and the girl next to her. I have been to the Beauty School in Crystal Lake and they did a great job on highlights. I was shocked at how well it turned out. They were a great price, but they take forever. I was there to get a full head highlights and it took 7 hours. I think the beauty schools are good because they are getting graded, etc. They just take a long time. If you have the time, I think they are great.
Hi D.,
I go to this wonderful lady, Jolene. She works from her home. She has a nice set up in her basement with a play area for kids. She is inexpensive and close by Springhill mall. Her numer is ###-###-####. Tell her I send you. Good luck!
