My family will be going to Sea World for the first time this weekend and I wanted to ask if anyone has tips or ideas for making it more fun or more manageable. We have four children, ages 11, 3, 2, and 1. We are very excited to be going to Sea World on Friday and Saturday. We are bringing strollers for all three little ones and will be skipping the water rides. We are bringing lots of sunscreen, water and snacks (I read Sea World's policies and bought individually wrapped snacks). Please share your experiences- what was not worth seeing, what did you bring that helped, what should we be sure not to miss, etc. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Definitlly feed the dolphins and the sea lions..its amazing..you have to buy sardines but they arent too badly priced..just get to the dolphin feeding early as they only allow them to eat a certain amount of fish and if you are late they will be sold out.. Also shamu for sure!! They also have some kid rides and a play area for the little ones to get out of the stroller and run off some energy..also they have the clydesdale (sp) horses and they do a parade with them and in my opinion all the shows are worth seeing!!

We just took our 10 & 4 year olds a couple of weeks ago. All the shows are good. If you buy a drink on the first day - get the orange sport cups with the straw in them. They are pricey at first - $7 I think - but then you can refill them for only 99 cents after that and water refills are free. Same thing with popcorn - buy the big bucket and you can refill it for cheaper. Be careful that most of the folks that work there are very rude, and the food was horrible. OH I don't recommend feeding the parrots that are by the sea lions - they are wild parrots, not like what we have here at the FW zoo that you can feed - and they are crazy. They scratched my 10 yo's arm all up fighting to get the food. My 4yo never even made it inside the cage.

The Shamu show at night is beautiful! It's my favorite. I would feed the dolphins and sea lions, too. It's fun, and the kids have fun with it, too. ;)

We went with our two year old last summer. We were able to see all of the animal shows in one afternoon, only missing a few of the smaller shows. So with two days I imagine you will be able to see everything! I can't remember any of the animal shows being a disappointment for us. We skipped rides and the water park. Since we let our little one play at the playground for quite a while he didn't seem to think he was missing out on anything. We didn't get to feed the dolphins because a baby was born while we were there, but they did allow us to observe a dolphin that was a few hours old which was pretty amazing.

If you have stock in anheiser-busch you can get a discount card. It gets you 10% off food. That helped with the cost of our lunch.

We got our son a kids meal - it came in a Sea World lunch box with a reusable cup...doubled as the souvenir and we didn't have to spend extra money to get him a trinket to take home.

Have fun!!
