Hi Everyone!

I was wondering about Sea World in Orlando and any other places to see around there.
If any of you have any recommendations that would be great.

Thanks! :)

We took our kids to Disney World 2 yrs ago. During that trip we did 2 days at Sea World - I wish we would have done more! We found Sea World had better food, more shade and was less crowded than Disney. At the time, there was also a deal where you brought back your first day's ticket and got in the second day free (we went in late May). We have thrown around the idea of going back and this time skipping Disney and going to Discovery Cove.

Depending on your kids ages, I would suggest doing the "free" stuff - Disney's Boardwalk and Universal Studios CityWalk.

sea world is great! of course, since it is orlando, expect long lines and hot, humid weather. there is a ton of stuff in orlando, just go online. there is almost too much to try to tell you about! plus, depends on the age of your kids.

I have heard that Sea World in Orlando is beautiful but I have never experienced it - (We're huge Disney Fans!) However, we love to stay at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club by Sea World. It is a wonderful resort. You can also go through the 90 minute vacation club/time sharing talk and get a couple free day-tickets for one of the parks. We've done that. If you do it early in the morning, they have a play room for the kids and breakfast for the family (cheap eats!) My husband walks in, checks his watch, and 90 minutes later,we are out the door (although that resort did get us thinking about time-sharing!!!)

It is really an awesome place and the location is just far enough out that it's easy to maneuver around town, so long as you have your own transportation. If you are going over Easter break and you celebrate Easter there, nothing beats coloring Easter Eggs in your bathing suit, near-poolside! Lot's of things for parents and children to do!

Good luck!

I'm going to second the ITS GREAT response. I love it my son loves it. We did an Orlando trip when he was 2 1/2 and went. Luckily we did go on the first day, because we learned about the 2nd day free deal they have! It was wonderful 2 days for the price of one. They have a whole section of rides for little kids and big play areas. He loved the shows (did not like the Cirque Soliel just as a heads up, I must agree, I've seen many a Cirque show and the one at Sea World is sub par). We did the dolphin show, the whale show, the dog & cat show. Grab a schedule right away and plan your trip around the park by the show times. If you miss one, you can always do that one on the day you come back for free :) Just a tip if you do that, show times are different on week days & week ends, lol, I kept the same schedule and we sat waiting for like 20 minutes until I noticed I must have had something wrong.

We also bought food to feed the dolphins at feeding time. IT WAS AWESOME. My son thought it was SO COOL.

Have fun. Hope that helps.
