My advice is Sea World all the way. It is educational and the lay out is roomy and good for small children.
Which park would be best for children ranging in ages from 3 to 6, Sea World or Fiesta?
There is a group of us that want to take our children but we are not sure which park they would get the most out of.
Thanks for the input
Thank you all for the wonderful advice.
We are going to Sea World. We are so excited. Now we just have to figure out when and what time. I like the idea of going early or arriving at 4:00...both will work with nap time for the little ones...if they take one that day:-)
We thought about just taking the older ones to Fiesta later in the summer.
Thanks again!
My advice is Sea World all the way. It is educational and the lay out is roomy and good for small children.
I would definitly pick Sea World. We took my little boy to Six Flags when he was 3 and it was a waste of money . There is not alot to do for little ones. Sea World is geared more for little ones. There are not but 3or 4 rides at Sea World. The shows and all the Sea Life to sea is great for little ones. Hope this helps, B.
We took our son to Sea World when he was 3 and had a ball! Since it has more to do than rides, most of which he couldn't ride, we were never at a loss for something to do. We had forgotten about SplashTown, though, so we missed that part. But the shows were great fun, even for a very energetic 3 yr old.
A little advice: Get there 1st thing in the morning. It's cooler and the crowds are lighter. By the time it gets hot and really crowded, your group will probably be exhausted and you'll have done most everything.:)
Hi I would prefer Sea World. We go there every summer my kids love it.Now that they are a little older they still have fun. There are many shows and exibits that they will enjoy. To me its just so much better than Fiesta Texas. Hope you guys have a great time.
I would say Sea World. They have so many fun things for the kids to see. The shows aren't too long and lots to look at. Plus, they have a great younger kids' section and they can play in a sand pit with scoops and pails, that is in the shade, climb, etc. And as for a value on food, they have a Shamu container that holds French fries and chicken for I think $4-6 and when your child is finished, you can close the container and it becomes a cute Shamu carrier that is also a souvenir. My kids loved theirs and the kid drinks come with a nice sturdy lid and straw. Once they finished their drink, I rinsed it out and just added water to it through out the day. And if you forget your stroller, they have great ones to rent. If you are getting a pass, I recommend you getting an extra parking pass. I remembered the parking being so high it's worth it! I hope this helps and have a great time, each time my kids go, they ask about going back. So this year we're going to get a pass. My kids are 5 and 6 and we've been going since they were 4.

SEA WORLD!
Be sure to pack a swim suit for the kiddie sprinkler park!
Also, wear lots of sunscreen and bring a stroller, but my kiddos were 2 and 3 last year and LOVED LOVED LOVED it. My oldest is still talking about the penguins and "Shampoo" (Shamu!)
I would definitely pick Sea World. It has a large play area for little kids that includes little-kid rides, a water play area and a large rope mountain with slides and tubes. They will have a blast. Also, the penguins and other animals really fascinate little ones. I found Fiesta Texas too crowded and too loud. Have fun!
Definately Sea World. The shows are animal focused. Where Fiesta Texas is music shows...
Sea World is better suited for smaller children. AND they have a great waterpark.
Hi M.,
We have kids around the same age and 1 more a 18 month old. We went to fiesta Texas and the 4 year old couldn't ride on many rides. So we spent the most time in the pool which was fun while the older one went on rides with his Dad. But just last week we went to Sea world and they both could go on rides and see the animals. So I liked Sea World for this age better and wait for Fiesta Texas when they are a little older Or taller 42" is what the height is for most ages.
Enjoy they are both fun.
p.s. if you get a lunchable they have free kid tickets with the purchase of a adult ticket for Fiesta Texas right now. And if you go to Sea world the tickets are cheaper on line.
sea world, sea world, sea world!! it's fantastic for younger...and older. we love it so much more than fiesta.
Definately Sea World for those ages. There are plenty of rides, water activity and of course te animals....
Have fun.. A. M
Sea World! When my kids were a little older we'd get season passes. We'd arrive about 4, play in the water park and then go see all the night and evening shows. I'd bring pajamas and they would get into them in the car and fall asleep on the way home (we live in Austin).
Another GREAT thing to know is that their summer camps are AWESOME for the little ones. They have a mommy and me type camp and it is incredibly well run, and the information they teach the children is wonderful. We'd make it a family vacation and stay at a nearby hotel. The camp was in the morning and we'd do touristy stuff in the afternoon or stay and do the park. The older kid camps sound incredible too as they eventually get to disect aquatic animals and eventually get to work with the trainers (talking High School). Seemed like they switched to full day classes a little too soon, but the mommy and me aged classes were AWESOME!
Sea world! I love Fiesta, but the kids rides are spread through the whole park instead of all together. Both have a great water park and my 3 yr. old loves to swim. I take her to sea world all the time and she never gets tired of seeing the animals. They also have a great kids area with sprinklers and some kids roller coasters.
Sea World is better for younger children the love the animals, the animal shows the arcade and the aquarium. Fiesta Texas is best for kids a little older like 7 and up. It is really all about dancing and sing shows and rides. I took my son when he was 8 and he would have preferred Sea World. At 10 I think he'll enjoy Fiesta Texas more. Have fun!
