I can't stand Scorpions for the obvious reasons. They freak me out. I'm afraid to walk around in my house barefooted. We are not over run with them but for me, one is too many! I've killed 3 in the past 2 days. Does anyone have any ideas of how we can get rid of them? My husband and I are going to go around the house to caulk up any holes that they might be getting in. Don't want to do any poison due to the dogs and kids. Any ideas that ya'll might have would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
Move north. I have never seen a single one outside of the zoo.

We had them very bad in a duplex once. My uncle was an exterminator in another town & told me to have someone spray in the attic.
That got rid of them.
They freak me out too. We had them one year. My hubby doesn't spray inside the house ever but he sprayed the perimeter of our house and our fence. Keep the kids and dogs inside for a few days after spraying. I'm not sure if you want to do that or not but it helped us keep them out of our house. Good luck!
We live in north Texas and we started seeing them in the house. The exterminator said lots of people have been seeing them because of the drought. He sprayed the perimeter of the house outside and we haven't seen any since. He said they live in debris and wood piles and come out at night to find food.
I hate pesticides too, but scorpion stings are pretty painful. I was afraid one of our kids would step on one barefooted.
I do not like bugs in my house. I would call Orkin. The risk of the kids getting stung far ouweighs the risk of them getting sick. I had an exterminator for four years in NC, nothing ever happened, no sickness, dogs and cats were always ok.
And it kept those darn palmetto bugs out.
oooo there was an episode on INFESTED with a home that was crawling with scorpians... look it up on netflix, there is only 4 episodes all of which I watched cringing the whole time... might make you feel better??? We dont have scorpians here so I have no advice on that but what about local enviromentally/kid friendly exterminators??
