We are relocating from California to Illinois. Thinking about a suburb North West of Chicago. The Barrington area. Are these school's good? I'm looking at Greatschools.org and Illinois interactive Report Card and the ratings seem to conflict. Can anyone let me know their opinion of these schools?

Thank you!

I understand it's a good system, but it's BIG. I don't know much else.

Not sure about the Barrington schools, I am close, but in U-46. However my opinions on schools is that of you get out what you put in ... if you put in the effort to help your child, the teacher and the school you will be part of a wonderful schooling experience. If you put nothing in you will get nothing out. I am in a neighboring village and love the area btw.

I know 3 families in that school district, with kids of all different ability levels. They all thrive there.

Rated #383 out of the top 1000 public high schools in the nation, according to Newsweek/The Daily Beast

I am certified to teach secondary education social studies in the state of IL, and it is a sought after district for teaching.
