my name is S. , my daughter Ava is 4 we have her in a few classes at the little gym in keller. my husband and i are looking for some sort of school or learning center to put her in to be around more kids her age. the neighborhood kids are all older than her , they're about 8 and 9 yrs old . any advice recommendations . thank you
Children's Courtyard. My son goes there and we have been more than impressed with the care, attention, and learning he has received. He's in computer classes, gymnastics, and sees a regular visitor every week. They also offer great field trips for the kids and occasional after hours activities.
Primrose. The one on Davis in southlake. most of the kids there are in the keller school district so when they go to K they'll all know each other. i know the teachers in the prek classes and they're great.
Have you thought about putting her in a mom's day out program? There are quite a few churches that offer 2 or 3 day a week programs. They usually go from 9-2 and are typically around 150/month. Harvest Christian Church and Richland Hills Church of Christ are two churches that I know have programs but you can check other ones in your area. My daughter has been going for the past two years and loves it.

Trinity Baptist Academy located in Saginaw on WJ Boaz. It is a Christen school. The kids attend Mon – Fri from 8a to 3 p. They take naps too! My daughter knows how to read and spell simple words like cat, dog and so on. It is a GREAT school! The monthly fee is the best part. It is only 200 a month! Well, good luck with your school hunting!

Have you considered putting Ava into a Pre-Kindergarten? I have a friend that lovingly kept her little boy at home until it was time to start public kindergarten when he was 5 and he was overwhelmed and way behind. The children that were in a Pre-K already understood math, could write words and started to tell time, he was very upset.
My 2 kiddos are at Primrose @ Parkwood Hill and my 4 year old will start private Kindergarten in August which is equal to Keller 1st grade. I don't want him to be bored but they just can't get enough practice with the basics.

Someone mentioned church programs and I thought I would add my two cents:).
I take my girls (4 and 2)to Southlake Christian Preschool (located in Southlake Church of Christ near the corner of Southlake Blvd and Davis Blvd). I used to work at Circle of Friends at Legacy Church of Christ (Mid-Cities Blvd.) and they're also good.
I highly recommend Southlake Christian! The teachers have all been there for years and years and they have awesome programs for the kids. The director, Emily should be able to answer questions for you at ###-###-####. She should be in the office between 9 and 2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (this week is Spring Break, though). If they don't answer leave a message and she'll call back. They're sometimes in with a class and aren't near the phones.
