My son goes to Kid R Kids in Westchase and I am happy with it. We went to Storybook Ranch at one time and I was not really pleased so we switched. Kids r Kids also has a webcam so you can view in her classroom. Waiting list is long though

Hi Beata,
My son started Carrollwood Day School this Fall for two mornings a week. (He'll be 3 in Feb.) So far so good. The school is very montessori-like, without actually calling itself that. The kids have a routine and structure to their morning, but the play is independently directed. I like his teachers and the way they interact with the children and help them work out differences with eachother. They don't do time outs.
My only beefs are the amount of fundraising they do (constantly) and that there is no daily report, only monthly conferences.

I have also heard good things about other montessori schools in the area (can't remember the names off-hand), Independent Day School, and Primrose School.

Good luck in your search

Hi Beata! I have my little man at Kid's Zone on Linebaugh Ave (near the Veteran's) and he just loves it! The other kids are so friendly at the school and really look out for the younger ones (my boy is 2). The teachers are great and the owner is just wonderful - she's there every day and is so great with the kids. You can tell she loves what she does.
I had Moose at Kindercare for the first year and a half and it was so expensive - Kid's Zone is MUCH more affordable. I highly recommend at least a visit to the school.

I would recommend checking out the JCC on Gunn Highway.
