How about this one? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005IR1B62/ref=pd_lpo_k2...
Where is a good place to get an "out of the box" backpack for my daughter? I'd like to get her something that not everyone else at school is going to have plus she's asking for a pink flamingo backpack and I have no idea where to even start looking for that. :)
Thanks!!
Thank y'all! I will check into those! She's going into 1st grade.

Why don't you just get a pink backpack. Then go to the fabric store and find some heavy duty pink material and applique a flamingo to it so the head sticks a bit over the top and the legs hang off?
Because I don't think a pink flamingo back pack exists except in your daughters mind. :)

I just googled "pink flamingo backpack" .......
How much room does she need? This one is cute!
Look on Etsy (www.etsy.com) for a one-of-a-kind handcrafted one, or buy a basic backpack at a store and jazz it up yourself with appliques, rhinestones, rivets, or fabric paint etc.
Otherwise go to a military supply shop, second hand store, or check out international bazaars or outdoor markets in town or international (Especially Euro) stores online.
I would look online. Amazon.com has literally almost everything.

other then that good luck....Jo's idea is good also!
Since this is for school, I like Jo's answer. The "fuzzy" flamingo bags are cute, but they are only 11" and I think that's a little too short to fit letter size paper and binders/folders.
We love our SkipHop penguin bookbag for our just turned 3 year old (and she's used it almost every day since she was 18 months), but it is 10.5" and definitely not going to work for "real" school.
LL Bean usually has some cool patterns, not just plain solid colors or stripes. My daughter has one that I think has palm trees all over it(?)...
Wildkin makes some cute ones: http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?sr=1&f=Taxono...
No flamingos, but the have owls, mermaids, fairies, horses, etc.
