I used bio oil on a scar after an operation and it faded mine
I had some moles removed and it appears that they may leave scars. Right now I have 3 very pink marks on my legs that I would like to lighten up. I've seen commercials for some scar treatment products and was wondering if there is a good one out there. I would also like to use it on my c-section scar. Any recommendations?

Were they removed recently? I've had some moles removed and the scars that were left faded over time almost back to my original skin color. You may just need to give it time and they won't be so pink.
My son has a scar on his face (had 18 stitches), I use Mederma. So far it has helped by making the scar paler. And yes sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
Check out these links for lots of great info about todays scar treatments. There are some new OTC treatments that were once only available through doctors. Silicone sheets (more like silicone lined soft fabric patches) are the only proven method to remove existing scars and minimize new scars. Especially the really bad thickened type of scars.

I chose ScarAway Silicone sheets in combination with massaging ScarAway Silicone Serum. worked amazong for me and my Mom.
Good luck with finding the right treatment for you.
Bio Oil is amazing!!! :)
My son has a scar on his face and I asked the plastic surgeon about the scar products, he said none of them work, but to always use sunscreen (spf 50) summer, spring, fall & winter. That is the only thing that will keep it from discoloring.
I had carpal tunnel surgery and I used Mederma and it helped a lot. You can also get some Vitamin E Oil and apply it too...it also helps with healing.
Best of luck to you!
