What is a fair weekly salary to pay a live-in nanny for a 3-month-old full time and a 2-year-old who's in preschool full time?

We have never used a nanny, but have had live in au pairs for several years. They cost approximately $270 per week- for up to four children. They come with full insurance (medical and liability) and Red Cross training in first aid and child CPR. They also, of course, have child care experience. Good luck, hope this helps!

I would say there is a big variation. I have 1 daughter and it ends up being a 'fixed' rate whether you have 1 or 2 (they need a level of income). I pay my nanny $350/week for about 50 hours. She does light cleaning and prepares meals and lives in. My friends pay their nanny $475/week live in with a car for their 4 children, 2 in school. Check out Enanny.com or GoNannies web site for more information on salaries & job requirements as well as candidates.

I don't have a nanny, but my girlfriend has a live in nanny who does the cleaning (of their 6,000 sq ft home) and helps with their 10-mo-old and 3-y/o, and they pay her $200/week. She doesn't do any cooking unless it's for the children.

I hope this helps!

For a live-in nanny I would say at least $200/week. If she is going to be transporting the preschooler and preparing meals, cleaning, etc. than it should definitely be more. Hope that helps.
