OK I have been blessed to be able to stay home for the last 6 years. It looks like that is about to end. I have been looking on Monster. com and Careerbuilders but HOLY COW... LOL I cant do anything on there. My primary career was in the dental field but I cantgo back into that field. Any ideas what type of job I should be looking for? It sucks cuz I need to put 2 kids in daycare so I need at least 13-15 an hour..... AWWWW Big sigh!

Depending on your level of education you could register as a substitute teacher or apply to be a teaching assistant in a school district.

I have suggested this one before... place an add on Craig's List to be a personal assistant of sorts. When we needed help we looked there to find someone to clean, do laundry, start dinner and maybe run some errands. The last being the hardest to find someone for. We pay our housekeeper $20/hour to clean, wash & fold and start dinner on the two days she's at the house. She does this for two other families and yes, we all pay her cash "off the books". When it all adds-up she makes $500-$600 per week.

You could also take the Civil Service exam and start applying for clerical positions!

Work in school as an aide, I did for years. Or babysit, did that too. If you WORK in daycare, you can just bring them with you!

Clean houses! You'll clear more that way and if you have someone to sit for you for a few half days--no childcare costs!

***added*** ALDI cashiers make GOOD money!

I have read all the responses. You could also tutor, or help kids with homework (what ever age works for you). We had a tutor for my daughter in first grade to help with homework since we were both working.

This is a hard one. With out education getting that kind of starting wage probably will not happen. A lot of fields only start our at 12 even with a masters! Cleaning houses is one idea that could work, and sometimes you can take your kids with you.
