We bought the Chicco Cortino Travel System and loved the car seat and base, they are easy to use and very safe. The carrier clicks right into the base. We're now looking for a good convertible car seat as our son is outgrowing his carrier.
hi i am looking to buy an infant carseat and i am interested in finding the safest one possible. i have heard that graco is one of the safer brands, is this true? what are your experiences or what have you read regarding safety ratings? thank you in advance!
Thank you everyone for the advice. I went ahead with the peg perego, i guess i'll begin to see in about a month how well it works for us! thanks again!

Consumer Reports just did an article on car seats that was flawed, so they had to pull it before the issue went to press. Whatever govt. agency that does the testing, (Consumer Product Safety Commission maybe?) should have some information. I'd think it would be a hot google search right now with the press it received!

I had a Peg Perego for my infant seat and we now have a Britax for her Convertible seat. I was very happy with both of them. They do tend to be more expensive than the Graco but I feel a little extra is worth it for safety.
I had the Graco Snug Ride and I loved it. Always felt my son was very safe in it. I also loved that you could buy extras bases so you could have one carseat and it could go to the base in both of our cars. We have an Evenflo Triumph 5 Deluxe for him now that he is in a convertable and he loves that seat. Falls asleep all the time in it.
