I know this is a contraversial issue, so I would like to ask for responses from those who have had the same question or experience.
We have decide not to immunize our children, but we do want to put them in Public school when the time comes. I have read lots of responses regarding other states rules on what to do to exempt your child in Public schools but haven't found any for Oregon. Is there anyone out there that has put there un-immunized children in an Oregon Public School and if so what were the steps you had to take. It will be a couple of years before I have to do this, but I like to be very prepared and just want to know what kind of battle I will have ahead of me.

Thanks for your help.

Hi-

I read Dr. Sear's book regarding immunizations just a few weeks ago, Oregon will allow your child in school without vaccinations and you do not need to give a reason.

I googled Oregon schools and immunizations which sent me to a web page on which I found this sheet on facts re immunizations.

It does say that a student is exempt for religious or medical reasons. There are 2 forms. The parent signs the religious exemption and a private doctor or Dept. of Health signs for the medical exemption.

I got a medical release from my doctor because of allergies. But I know that you can opt out for personal or religious beliefs also. Good luck!

Go on facebook and join Dr. Tenpenny's fan page. You can ask questions like this and get a response quickly. She is awesome and is the best when needing info on vaccines and the dangers of them.
