Round Red Spots on My Sons Legs

At first I thought they were bruises for the playground. I saw them a couple of weeks ago while I was giving him a bath. Then last night I noticed that there is more. They are about the size of a dime. I had read that it might be ringworms but arent ringworms scabby? These arent scabby, just red and round.

Thanks for your help.

You can treat ring worm with anti fungal cream, like lotrium, if that does not work you can rub on apple cider vinigar (very acid like) but will dry them up fast, just do not do it all the time could leave a blemish on the skin. Some people swear that clear nail polish works, I have not tried this yet. Keep the circles uncovered to get as much air as possible. They are very contagious, wash your hands often and good luck.

I had to deal with ringworm before, and it's a round red circle (like an outline, not all filled in). It is not scabby.

Honestly we can all guess, but the person who can look at them and tell you what they are and how to treat, is your son's doctor. The internet is a great source of info and support, but it is not a place to look for a medical diagnosis. Have him seen by the doctor

sounds like ringworm. My daughter had one on her cheek when she was 4yrs old. They don't get scabby but might look like dry skin in the middle. Take him to the DR just to be safe and anti fungal cream is what you'll get if that's what it is. In the mean time, don't let him touch the areas as it can spread.

go on yahoo images.. type in ringworm rash, check out the pics to see IF it looks like it.. but either way, sounds like it has gotten bigger.. I well imagine too that WARM baths may make a rash worse.. kinda like when you have poison oak..... they say .. no really warm water... best of luck
