We like our Roku, but do not watch the channels you are asking about.. Here is the site, so you can check it out

Be sure to check what is free on Roku and what cost a fee for a subscription.
I'm thinking of buying a box and getting rid of cable - so darn expensive!!!
So - we watch mostly Disney channel, Nickelodeon and my husband and I really only watch the Comedy channel - just not big tv people. We also like to watch a few series on network - would this work for us?
Thanks

My sisters X installed Roku in her house... never heard of it before that, but they have EVERYTHING on it.
I have not rented any of the paid channels through roku. I'm not sure what the options are, or how much they cost. I pay for hulu plus and netflix. I never watch the hulu though. We watch neftlix all the time through hulu and love it. I know that there's quite a bit of news channels to choose from and a cool biography channel that's free. I don't even remember if hulu is on roku. I think it's worth it. It will be an adjustment. But I sure wish I could get my mother unglued from the tv. She's the reason I keep paying 100 bucks plus per month. I actually pay 200 per month to time warner. But that's because I get the phone and internet with the cable and we like to rent movies. Oh yeah, that reminds me.. If you pay for the passport deal through Amazon, you can get a lot of tv with that and Amazon is on roku.
We don't have cable either, we don't even get basic cable b/c our antenna doesn't work around here.
So, we just stream Netflix through our xbox to watch lots of shows/movies... and current seasons can be watched through Hulu. It's about $20 a month that way.
I have no clue about Roku or how it works.
