Reusing an Old Prego Test

Results are invalid so the test is telling you nothing. Doesn’t the dollar store sell pregnancy test for a $1?😉

No, I've never heard of anyone that kept an old used pregnancy test around and tried to re-use it.
The thought of keeping one around once it's been peed on just kind of grosses me out.
And I'm even more grossed out that enough women have tried this that you can Google it and get results.

Additional:
You could save yourself a whole lot of drama by simply seeing your doctor.
Not only do they know how tests work and can explain them to you but they could actually give you a meaningful answer to your whole question as to whether you are pregnant or not.

how odd. i always threw out negative pregnancy tests, they are just garbage, they served their purpose and need to be tossed. only a hoarder would keep one.

and finally, the results. they are invalid. i have never heard of anyone doing this. (because normal people throw negative tests away after using them they don't use them again)
head over to a store and get a new test. or head to the dr and have them test.

Why would you keep around a negative test? I know I have kept the positive one for a short time to show my mom. But a negative one and then use it...... Go out and get a new one.

You Cant Reuse It
First of all, pregnancy tests are one use only. That means once you pee on the stick and see your results you wont be able to reuse the test. So, if after you toss the pregnancy test in the trashcan you want to retest and see if you receive the same result then you will need to buy a new test. The old one has been used and cannot be used again. Plus, you already know whether the test said positive or negative so you dont really need to see it again! If the pregnancy test is in the trash then just let it stay there and dont worry about it anymore.

Its Dirty
The next good reason why you should leave your used pregnancy test in the trash is because it is dirty! Think of all the things you toss in the trashcan and you will know that you dont want to go plundering through the trash looking for a used pregnancy test. Just let the test stay in the trashcan with the rest of the trash and if for some reason you really want a pregnancy test with your results you should take another one. Then you can store it in a plastic bag or something for posterity if that is what you are really interested in doing.

The strip has absorbent padding, and then has those bands which turn color depending on what your urine has in it. Once the urine has soaked through the pad and reached the bands, they've been affected. (think chemical reaction) That's why they change color (or don't).

So I personally would not trust that test. There should be a 1-800 number associated with your test that can answer this for sure for you.

It's 50/50 - pregnant or not pregnant. But you can't trust the used stick. So what if it says pregnant? You can't trust it.

Why on earth would you pee on an old test? Go get one you CAN trust and use it.
