Restless Leg Syndrome in Children

I'm starting to wonder if my 4 yo son has restless leg syndrome. Almost every night his legs will not stop moving. Occasionally he will complain that they hurt in the middle of the night and we will treat with ibuprofen. But the majority of the nights his legs are just constantly moving. He doesn't complain of them hurting. I know this because he ends up in our bed every night (that will be another post:)) he is kicking my husband and I all night long.
I'm just curious if anyone has experienced this with their little ones? We have his 5 yo check up in MArch so I plan to discuss with his doctor.

What can I do next?

Hylands makes a child supplement for RLS & it works very well. Amp up the potassium, maybe a banana before bed. Also my friend said Whole Foods has a supplement for RLS for kids.

I have a friend who had this, as did her daughter. Got rid of it with all-food children's supplementation. Happy to give more info if you want to go the natural route and help eliminate the cause rather than just treat the symptom.

It sounds very normal to me. Night pain is at that age is usually growing pain. And my kids were both octopi at that age -- I hated sharing hotel room beds with them because they'd be all over the place all night long, running like a dreaming dog. I would bring it up in March, but probably not make a special visit unless it seems to get worse.

I agree with just checking in March.
More than likely growing issue.
I had/still have restless leg. I remember 'hurting' but not really a hurt.
turns out a nutritional shake/meal I found finally at 41 yo was my ticket.
Clearly it has something I don't produce or absorb in foods.
I used to do what the other mom said- bananas, supplements for Ca/Mg/D, drink milk, use massage, walk a bit in the nights.
Now- sleep thru.
There are natural things if it turns out it's not just growing issues.
If he does have, explore natural remedies before using meds- there will be one that works.
