I have a 15 year old daughter wanting to earn her own money during the summer. She is an honor roll student in pre-ap classes earning college credits as a freshman in high school. She is also a musician (self taught) and is wanting to save money for college as well as musical instruments. She is a great kid with a good head on her shoulders. She has never been in any trouble in school as a matter of fact she not only toutors some of the students but her teachers seek her out to assist them during as well as after school. We live in the Castleberry school district and she would like to babysit during the summer break and is also open to week-end evenings for the parents that would like to get away once in awhile. If there are any moms who are interested please contact me for more info or a meeting. Look forward to talking to ya'll.....N.

Hi N.,
If your daughter takes a class in babysitting it will really help her business. It will teach her in first aid, safety, and caregiving. The Red Cross offers a class. www.RedCross.org Hope this helps. A 14yr old girl in my neighborhood took the class and is doing well. We felt better that she was prepared for the unexpected.

N.,

I have found a program for my 6 year old at the Rec center (thanks Caryn f.) But do still need something for my 3 year old (4 in july) what area do you live in and are there other children that are already scheduled (trying to get a feel for how many children she would be keeping) I would need the whole month of June M-F from about 7 a.m. until 6 at the latest (and on the days their father was off he would likely pick up early in the afternoon or they would not have to go at all.)
Thanks,

I would love to consider your daughter because we are looking for someone to come and care for a 1 year old toddler. I will (grandma) be here but I will not be able to pick up my grandson. I will be having surgery and am being grounded as far as lifting. I currently am their caregiver but I need to help find some help during this time. The Place you live would probally be to far. Tell your daughter to go for it but screen the family just like if it was you hiring them. I am a former Child Care Center owner and have heard horrible stories. Good luck and you must be very proud of her. Great job Mom.R.
