Hello and Greeting To All!

Just want to give you a brief description about me and my situation.
I am a single mom of a 10 yr old daughter and recently divorce as of July 2007.
I am glad to say I survived an abusive marriage and have been truly blessed. The marriage was not in good faith and he married me to get legal immigration status. During that time we got evicted due to my ex-husband not working and I took on all the debt of all the expense's!!
In the process of all that, my daughter and I went our way and found a 1 bedroom basement apartment. You can imagine how tight it is for us. And my daughter whines about having her own room again. Very troubling for me to hear her cry out like that!
To make matter worse, our bedroom and closets is soaked with water and the Landlord is not returning my calls to get this taken care of! I'm afraid mold and mildew may have set in and my daughter has allergies and allergic to mold!
Um!!

So, I am looking for someone that would be a little sensitive to my situation regarding a "EXCELLENT" credit rating as well as working with me regarding the rental cost, security deposit and so forth.
Therefore, my needs are a 2-bedroom Condo/Townhouse @ $1000-1100.00.
Areas of consideration are; ANNAPOLIS, CROFTON, LAUREL, FT. MEADE, COLUMBIA, SAVAGE, SCAGGSVILLE, ODENTON, BOWIE anddddddddd??????
Date available to move July 1st or August 1st depends on how much I can save for 1st months rent and security deposit!!

I currently work for the Department of the Treasury. I have been employed with the federal government for over 17 yrs.

I certainly appreciate any help you wonderful moms could provide!!

Again thank you so much and may God fulfill and bless you with whatever you stand in need of!!
Have a wonderful day!!

K.

I don't have any suggestions for where, but maybe you could get a nicer one bedroom for less than a skanky two bedroom. Then you could use the living /dining area for your bedroom, and your daughter could use the one bedroom for her space. Just a thought!

Good luck finding something in your price range! Not gonna be easy.

I don't have anything in those areas, but i do own a home in Balitmore in the homewood/Charles Village area. It's not too far from downtown Baltimore and not far from the areas that you said. It's a 3 bedroom house with one bath, 3 floors and the bsment is suitable for storage. it's for $850 per month not including utilities or water. Don't know if that will hel you or not. Good luck!

Ten years ago I used to live in a rental townhome community called Lake Village. It is located in Severn about 2 minutes from Ft. Meade. I just called them and their rent for a two bedroom is $1104. We lived there for 4 years, two years in a 2 bedroom and 2 years in a three bedroom. They have several playgrounds for the kids. It was very nice when we lived there. Hopefully, it still is. Hope this helps!
