EdFred (we buy it at Orchard Supply hardware) always cuts through hard water, even on tea pots (you may have to soak them).
Just don't get it near marble or sea shells. It really chews up calcium based things.
Hello! We have recently moved into a new house, and it seems the previous owners neglected to ever clean the show door in the Master bath. It is clear glass, and the hard water stains are so bad it is cloudy and you can barely see through it. I have tried just about every product made, and nothing works. Any home remedies or special tricks that any of you have tried that works?
Thanks!

Have you tried Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the shower door? That has worked well for me in the past.
Our water is VERY hard as it comes straight from Stevens Creek. We can't use a water softener because my daughter has kidney problems. We have a clear shower door as well that gets those crazy buildups, we use CLR to get rid of it and it works quite well.

We had the same problem. It's not a home remedy, as I tried the vinegar solution, etc, but I did use the Scrubbing Bubbles. I left it on our shower door for awhile (can't remember how long), and voila... I had thought our glass doors were frosted, but come to find out they weren't... they were just that dirty. Scrubbing Bubbles did the trick!
vinegar in a spray bottle works great
Hi K.
I have tried the remover called Clar. It's in the aisle with the house cleaners such as windex, lysol etc.. This works really great and fast. The bottle is grey and orange. You can ask a clerk and they will know what it is. Goodluck.
