It appears that DandyLion's post about cancer and inability to get surgery has been removed. At least that's what it looks like to me. Does it look like that to you?

I wonder if Mammapedia verifies that a post is not true before removing it or if it's been removed for a different reason.

Also, is there a way to go to a person's site without finding their name in the Questions section? If I could look at DandyLion's site I would know if it really was hers that was removed.

I hope it wasn't removed because a few people thought it was not true. I don't know if it was true or not. I just believe that it's not up to us to judge.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the responses. I, too, have noticed more disrespectful responses this week. I've known people who were off balance and know that they deserve respect as much as anyone else. We cannot know from what is written on Mamapedia who the person is and whether or not they're "for real."

I think Dandy is just a regular person and some people on here need to quit focusing on trying to stalk her or look for trolls. This is a mama site, to share knowledge. What is wrong with some of the people on here? I have no idea. Some are just catty and seriously need to find better things to do with their time.

I didn't see it, but I can see where it could happen.

My mom lost her job and her health insurance. She opted to take a program that would put her back in school. Since this was the second time she had been out of a job due to plant closure, she thought that she should learn a skill and not be in this situation again.

A couple months later she discovered she had breast cancer. She had to apply for Medicaid, and she cleared. But, had my dad more just 600 dollars more a year, she wouldn't have.

So, yeah, she would have had cancer and not been able to have the surgery. I know my mom, and if it was between complete and total financial ruin for her and my dad, or death....she would have let the cancer take it's course.

This is why I get so riled up about these issues. And why I get so angry when people say that people on Medicare are there because they are lazy or by their own choices. Because neither of those scenarios apply here. My mom worked 30 years full time, paid taxes for 30 years. She didn't ask for the plant to shut down, and she sure as hell didn't choose to get cancer....GRRR. End of rant.

I was also disgusted by the mean-spirited responses. Maybe Mamapedia was being kind to her in pulling the entire post. Who needs to read through that garbage when faced with cancer?

Looks like it's been removed.
I'm wondering if some people were embarrassed by their harsh answers after the fact, and reported the question to save face?
Otherwise, no, unless she is your MP "friend" all you can do is find another of her questions or answers to check in on her.
I hope she's OK.
ETA: Lola--I distinctly remember her talking about her neck before. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!

She may have asked for it to be removed due to the harsh and down right bitchy attacks she was getting simply for being sick. Honestly, some of the responses she got made me sick. Whether you think she is real or not, attacking someone for being sick is, well, sick.

M., it made me cry when I saw that it had been removed. What is wrong with people? I HOPE that the person who reported it was worried about her emotional response to the nastiness on that thread and that MP agreed that a person who had just gotten a cancer diagnosis didn't need to be reading stuff like that.

I will say the same thing here that I wrote in an addition to answer a question from a poster who asked why it upset me, considering this is Dandy. If it isn't true, that's all on her. We have no right to beat her up because she has been strange on here. We are supposed to have hearts and souls and act like human beings. If a person I absolutely LOATHE on this site came on and told us that she had just found out that she has cancer, I would say "I'm so sorry" and offer any advice I could think of that would help. It is just absolutely awful to bawl a person out who is telling you that they have cancer. I just cannot understand it.

It is not our job to determine whether or not the situation is real. It is our job to act humanely and decently when it comes to people facing death.

I'll stop now before I write 10 paragraphs, M..

Btw, thanks for what you wrote here.

I can't imagine why they would pull it. Is she for real, I don't know but there was nothing about that post that would have got it pulled. Well if she went nuts in the what happened I suppose that would do it.

I don't think they would pull a question just based on the answers being harsh, they would just remove the harsh answers. I know there was a time when just enough reports would get something pulled but it hasn't been that way for months now, maybe a year. Now they read them and if there is nothing that violates the guidelines they leave the post.

So the only thing I can figure is she flipped a nut in the what happened.

The thing I don't get about Dandy is she knows her first posts with the swearing taints most people's perception of her. So why hasn't she just started a new user name and got a clean slate? I think it would improve the answers she gets....

I have no clue why the post was removed.

I don't think people were harsh - although I didn't follow it.

When I LAST saw her SWH - after receiving a flower - she was a bit batty - almost like her first post.

Do I think she's a real person? Yes. I think she's a regular member who needs or craves extra attention so she uses Dandylion to get her jollys, attention or whatever it is she needs in life.

I personally think Dandy is a poser. And her grammar greatly improved in her last posts.

I personally don't believe in reporting posts unless there is vulgar profanity. Other than, that to each his own. People can be as silly or misinformed or stir the pot as much as they want and I won't report it.

it's dandelion. i mean have you ever read her posts? her command of english comes and goes and the absurdity of her posts is mind-boggling. you would also think a serious issue as cancer would have prevailed her posts yet it just showed up, prior to elections, calling for free healthcare and how dare they deny her treatment.
anyways, if it's true, god will strike me with a thunder, but in this case, i am taking my chances.

Yes, it would appear it was pulled. I just checked back on that post a couple of hours ago and it was still there & Dandylion hadn't written anything in the SWH section.

I had never responded to any of her posts before b/c I honestly believe she's a fake but I couldn't get offer all the harsh answers! So I did respond to that post even though I don't really believe it's true I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt on that one. It could be all her other posts were bogus & maybe the cancer post was a ture post, who knows? I did notice & mentioned that her spelling had greatly improved which made me feel like she can spell but in prior posts was misspelling for attention (as I always suspected). This time she did not. Maybe she didn't want to draw attention away from her post with the misspellings. Seemed like she wanted to be clear this time around. Wouldn't that be sad if that cancer post was her first real post and those were the resposes she received?

I don't think the entire post should have been pulled, ONLY the over the top rude responses.
