Hi everyone,

My 3 year old daughter decided to use a red crayon and write all over our LCD computer screen today. Does anyone know how to get the crayon markings removed without damaging the screen? Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

try some rubbing alcohol and a dry micro fiber cloth. Just keep rubbing the dry cloth gently on the screen until it comes clean.

Our youngest did the same and I cleaned it up with a huggies wet wipe. Love those wipes; they get crayon out of carpet and off her cloth pooh recliner chair. No worries; you'll get the crayon off.

We love magic erasers too...they are awesome.

WD-40 also takes crayons off non-porous things, but leaves an oily residue that then needs cleaned with something else.

I love peoples answers, would they work on blackboard/chalkboard too? My one-year old used red crayon to write all over her brother's blackboard desk. I'd be a little hesitant to use WD-40 on something the kids are always touching.

I don't have an LCD screen but I know that on my regular screen, on some toys, the walls, and a door I was able to use Sol-U-Mel. You would pour some full strength Sol_U-Mel on a paper towel or cloth and rub or you can spray it diluted directly on the crayon depending on the type of surface.

My son did this to our LCD TV and WD40 worked great! It is safe and the crayon just wipes off without any elbow grease! Good luck!

Hubby sez to use a mild soap and warm water and spoon it off - not a dripping wet one though! Good luck! L

My 2 year old son recently colored on our new windows with a black sharpie and crayons, it was on there for months and months, I tried everything and every cleaner to get it off until one day I was using our little shark steamer to clean the window sills and it came right off, even the marker.

According to the answers on google :
baby wipes work
magic eraser works
a soft microfiber cloth with a 1/1 solution of distilled water and vinegar
don't press hard on the screen
Good luck! To get crayon off other surfaces use Goo Gone.
