Hello Mama's,

I was told by a friend of mine to try the "Regis" salon. I know that they are all over the place but I have never used them. Have any of you used them and if so, are they any good with hair, cut and color? Thank you so much for any information.

What can I do next?

I use them and have been very happy. I think it really just depends on the hairdresser you get. I think you can go anywhere and get either someone real good or real bad.

I had to run an errand in a city about 45 min away so I got a sitter so I didn't have to worry about hauling my kids around too. I decided to take the extra time I had to get a hair cut and tried a Regis Salon in that city. I had a great experience. She gave me some great tips that my normal hair lady doesn't and if she didn't work 45 min away I would go back to her!

My Mom has worked for Regis about 12 years. Majority of the stylists hired by the main Regis (they also own a few lesser expensive chains) are experienced and tested with knowledge and have monthly workshops to improve techniques or learn new ones.

I have been to two different Regis - two different stylists and really liked them both. Of course they both happened to be the manager. Being that they were both the manager of the salon, they were both more experienced hairstylists, and I had to pay more for the haircut. I am not sure I would blindly endorse all Regis salons and or stylists, because I am sure there could be a bad apple anywhere.

You could always request a consult and progress from there if you like what you hear.

I go to the one at Collin creek. I have been with my stylist for 5 years and would follow her anywhere. If that's close to you, call and ask for Shanaz.

I just recently went to one for just a cut only. I brought in a picture of what I wanted. It wasn't really that far off from what I already had, but just slightly different. By the time she was done it didn't look anything like the picture! I really didn't like it. Also it cost me $50 just for a haircut alone! Nothing else was done. Crazy!!! I will not go there again, just because of the cost.
