I love Northeast OB/GYN. They have several wonderful doctor I just love and three locations. Drs. Theis, Farhart, Murdock, and King are my favorites.

They deliver at North Central Baptist Hospital. It is a wonderful new facility with all private rooms and they are like suites. The nurses were absolutely wonderful with both my deliveries.

Probably 75% of my friends are patients in this practice. They were recommended to me by my friend who's mom is a NICU nurse. She said they were the best in town and all four of her daughters go to them.

Good luck!

I absolutely love my OBGYN - Dr. VanWingerden at the Riverwalk OBGYN. I chose her initially because she had office hours downtown, just minutes from my office. Convenience was very important to me, given the number of visits you have to make during a pregnancy and the fact that I had just started working for my company. For my second pregnancy, I had more flexibility and still chose Dr. Van. She is so easy to talk with, her staff is no nonsense and Dr. Van has had five children of her own and had practiced for years - she has seen everything! She has since moved, I believe, now primarily practicing in the Stone Oak area. I gave birth in 2009 at North Central Baptist, off stone oak (even though it was pretty far from my home), and was super pleased with that hospital.

I know that finding a doctor and hospital you like is important, but I also know that convenience is important. so, when considering doctors, look for some near your home or work. The easier it is to get to appointments, the easier it is to keep appointments.

I have lots of friends who go to Women Partners and love them. I had my baby with Dr. Michelle Villa-Olvera and my SIL had hers with Dr. Novak. But while you're pregnant you get the chance to meet all the drs and I was really comfortable with all of them, which is saying ALOT! The office is attached to North Central Baptist, which is really nice and the hospital is beautiful. Good luck!

There are many great drs in town, but it really depends on your personality and what you are looking for in a birth experience as to which is best for you. As for hospitals, the most mother-friendly hospital I know is St. Luke's Baptist. :) Good luck in your search and enjoy your pregnancy!
