I found that my Graco MyRide 65 car seat is designed in such a way that is reclines more than all the other car seats. I like it better than my Britax! My son never gets bobble head in that car seat.
Help! I just can't seem to find anything that works! My son is almost 5 and occasionally falls asleep in his carseat. His head just bops forward and it drives me nuts. Most of the products I've tried are side/neck pillows and no matter what his head eventually flops forward. Has anyone found anything that works for this? Please help. Thanks

No, I haven't found anything. i usually stop and recline his seat a bit and he is more comfortable.
Do NOT put anything under the front of the car seat. The only time having something under the car seat is ok is in the REAR FACINg position, so nothing is ok under a forward facing car seat.
If he's in a booster seat, put him back into a 5pt harness. If he sleeps alot in the car he's not mature enough to be in a booster seat. There are many on the market now that harness bigger older kids (Evenflo Generations 65, Graco Nautilus, Britax frontier to name a few).
Otherwise, if hes still in a harness, don't worry about it. Kids are flexible and if it was uncomfortable he wouldn't do it.
Yeah there really isn't much you can do but find a reclining car seat. I also suggest to never use the neck supports since the weren't safety tested with your particular seat. in a wreck it can slip behind the neck or back and cause some serious problems.
I tend to ignore it, they wake up just fine, no kinks or anything. My husband on the other hand gets quite agitated by it, so he'll stop and tie a sweater around their forehead and back of their chair. It looks strange, but works and is free. When/if they wake up, they can just slide it off. Good luck.
Can you recline his seat/booster? Put a towel under it, but under the front part so that the seat reclines, his head will be less likely to bob forward.
Without changing to a really expensive seat, there isn't much you can do. My daughter is almost 10yrs old and her head did the same thing. Back then, we didn't have reclining seats or a pull strap to tighten the harness. LATCH was just coming out for the top part of carseats and Graco was the most affordable and well known maker. My son has a Graco high back and a Evenflo DLX and he does it in both of them in any of the 3 different vehicles we own. He doesn't do it as bad in the Graco though.
It really doesn't hurt the kid's sleeping like that. I used to try to prop my daughter all the time and she would just flop her head to the other side! lol
Good luck!

My son used to do this when he was a baby. No damage was done. You might feel horrible looking at it, but it doesn't hurt the kidlets.

Try changing the incline of the car seat it self by sticking a "wedge" of some sort (foam perhaps?) behin the carseat. That way he will be somewhat leaned back at all times (as much as you wegde it - it can be just a few degrees) and his head wont get to move forward.
If you have a head rest that is making the carseat lean forward a little, try removing it until you need it with a booster later on.
My child does it all the time no matter what I do to stop her. I have read that the only thing a parent can do is ignore it and the child will eventually outgrow it.
Have you considered changing car seats? Both my children (ages 4&6) use the Britax car sears. Marathon and wizzard and don't have that problem, I also am able to recline the seats so they're more comfortable. Good luck
I put my son back into a 5 point harness that goes to a higher weight. He's much more comfortable in his new car seat than the booster seat. Best part, he sleeps more comfortably. That's the only suggestion I have. (Evenflo Generations 65 at Babies R Us for $99, if you do decide to switch car seats)
Have you try puting the pillow in the reont or tillting his feet up higher A. no hills
