My son has many dietary issues, he is allergic to dairy, has a very sensitive stomach, and we think may be hypoglycemic. Can you recommend a good pediatric nutritionist or an allergist/nutritionist?

What can I do next?

I'm not sure how she does with dairy allergies but you might try Faye Elahi. She is located in Allen.

Hi T.,

I am a Chiropractor that works with children and adults. I focus on holistic care which involves a lot of nutritional work and allergy testing. I have seen tremendous changes in my patients. I perform muscle testing to determine organ deficiencies and to test for allergies. I then prescribe the correct nutrition and we work on eliminating the allergens. If you are interested, or if you have other questions please don't hesitate to call me at ###-###-####. Thanks! Dr. Sandra S.

Hi T.,

What I recommend is for you to get a referral to a pediatric gasteroenterologist (GI) from your child's pediatrician. Ask him/her to refer you to one of the GI docs down at Children's Medical Center Dallas. After you make your appointment and go into the clinic, you will also be able to see THE BEST pediatric GI dietitian. Her name is Margareta Benser, and she has been working in pediatric GI for over 20 years. She does work part-time now, so when you make your appointment, ask to be seen on a day when she is there. You will not get any better care than from her. I know b/c I work with her. I am another ped dietitian there at Children's, but I work in another department.

Good Luck,
A.

I do not have a specific person to recommend, but I would recommend that you look for a registered dietitian that specializes in pediatrics. There is a big difference in the education that a nutritionist has and a registered dietitian. So in your search I would highly recommend looking for a registered dietitian. I hope this helps a little.
